如果你們中間有人缺乏智慧，他就應當向那慷慨賜予萬人又不責罵人的神祈求；神就會賜予他。

拯救我們的神哪，求你使我們回轉，求你收回對我們的惱怒！

先知書上記著：『他們都將成為神所教導的人。』任何人聽了並領會了從父而來的教導，就會到我這裡來。

並且你們將明白真理，而真理將使你們自由。」

求你開啟我的眼睛，使我看出你律法中的奇妙。

於是耶穌開啟他們的理性，使他們能領悟經上的話，

看哪！先前所預言的事已經應驗了，現在我要宣告新的事，在它們還沒有發生之前，我就要告知你們。」

如果你們真的聽從了他，又照著在耶穌裡的真理，在他裡面受了教導，

你的手造了我，又堅立我；求你使我有悟性，好學習你的誡命。

願我們主耶穌基督的神——榮耀的父，賜給你們智慧和啟示的靈，使你們能真正地認識他。我也求神照亮你們心中的眼睛，使你們知道：屬他召喚的盼望到底是什麼；在聖徒中間，他繼業榮耀的豐盛到底是什麼；

而經上的話是不能廢除的。神既然稱那些承受他話語的人為神，

沒有人呼求你的名，沒有人奮起去緊抓你；因為你向我們掩面，使我們在自己罪孽的權勢下消融。
