we have not obeyed the Lord our God or kept the laws he gave us through his servants the prophets.

You are the Lord our God. But we haven’t obeyed you. We haven’t kept the laws you gave us through your servants the prophets.

and have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God by walking in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.

Because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD their God, but transgressed his covenant,[ and] all that Moses the servant of the LORD commanded, and would not hear[ them], nor do[ them].

Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.

And now, O our God, what shall we say after this? for we have forsaken thy commandments,Which thou hast commanded by thy servants the prophets, saying, The land, unto which ye go to possess it, is an unclean land with the filthiness of the people of the lands, with their abominations, which have filled it from one end to another with their uncleanness.

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

Yet the LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets,[ and by] all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments[ and] my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.Notwithstanding they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, that did not believe in the LORD their God.And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that[ were] round about them,[ concerning] whom the LORD had charged them, that they should not do like them.

Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments:And madest known unto them thy holy sabbath, and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant:And gavest them bread from heaven for their hunger, and broughtest forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and promisedst them that they should go in to possess the land which thou hadst sworn to give them.But they and our fathers dealt proudly, and hardened their necks, and hearkened not to thy commandments,And refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy wonders that thou didst among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but thou[ art] a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsookest them not.
