但以理開口說：「我在夜間的異象中正在觀看，看哪，天上四方的風攪動大海！

然而，他心裡高舉自己，靈裡變得剛硬，以致行事狂傲，就從王權的寶座上被廢黜，他的尊榮也被奪去了。

這犄角被折斷，在它的原處興起的四隻犄角，就是從希臘王的國中將要興起的四個王權，只是他們都沒有他的力量。

這話還在王的口中，就有聲音從天上降下，說：「尼布甲尼撒王啊，這是對你的宣告：你的國權從你那裡被移除了！
