我聞爾為上帝之神所感、聰明智慧、超於儕輩、

王於是尊崇但以理、加以重賚、封為巴比倫方伯、眾哲士長、但以理求王使沙得臘、米煞、亞伯尼坷、治理巴比倫之事、但以理待命御閽。

更立三監督、糾察其弊、不使國家有損、但以理為監督長、但以理心甚靈慧、王使之綜理、監督州牧、職居宰輔、統轄全土、
