I, Daniel, was worn out. I lay exhausted for several days. Then I got up and went about the king’s business. I was appalled by the vision; it was beyond understanding.

我見牡山羊、趨至牡綿羊前、忿怒特甚、牴觸牡綿羊、折其兩角、牡綿羊無力以禦之、無力以禦之原文作不能立於其前牡山羊觸之於地、加以蹂躪、無人能救牡綿羊脫於牡山羊之害、害原文作手

我見異象之時、以為我在以攔州、書珊城、我於異象中彷彿在烏萊河濱、

我聞爾素為神明之神所感、聰明頴悟、智慧俱備、

於是王尊崇但以理、加以重賚、立為巴比倫全州之方伯、為巴比倫諸哲士長、但以理求王、使沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌、分治巴比倫州之事、但以理恆在王宮、恆在王宮或作待命御門

又在其上立冢宰三人、使方伯述職其前、使國家無損、但以理亦在三人中、但以理心甚靈慧、尊榮勝於他冢宰與諸方伯、王欲立之治理通國、
