Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days; for the vision is yet for many days.”

He said,“ Go your way, Daniel; for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end.

When the seven thunders sounded, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from the sky saying,“ Seal up the things which the seven thunders said, and don’t write them.”

I said to her,“ You shall stay with me many days. You shall not play the prostitute, and you shall not be with any other man. I will also be so toward you.”For the children of Israel shall live many days without king, and without prince, and without sacrifice, and without sacred stone, and without ephod or idols.

Yes, it magnified itself, even to the prince of the army; and it took away from him the continual burnt offering, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.The army was given over to it together with the continual burnt offering through disobedience. It cast down truth to the ground, and it did its pleasure and prospered.Then I heard a holy one speaking; and another holy one said to that certain one who spoke,“ How long will the vision about the continual burnt offering, and the disobedience that makes desolate, to give both the sanctuary and the army to be trodden under foot be?”He said to me,“ To two thousand and three hundred evenings and mornings. Then the sanctuary will be cleansed.”When I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, I sought to understand it. Then behold, there stood before me something like the appearance of a man.

They will be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and will be shut up in the prison; and after many days they will be visited.
