現在我來，要使你明白你百姓日後必遭遇的事，因為這異象關乎未來的日子。」

他說：「但以理，去吧！因為這話已經隱藏封閉，直到末時。

他又對我說：「不可封了這書上的預言，因為時候近了。

「人子，看哪，以色列家的人說：『他所見的異象是許多日子以後的事，所說的預言是指着遙遠的時候。』

七個雷發聲後，我正要寫出來，就聽見從天上有聲音說：「七個雷所說的，你要封上，不可寫出來。」

我對她說：「你當多日與我同住，不可行淫，不可歸與別人，我對你也一樣。」因為以色列人必多日過着無君王，無領袖，無祭祀，無柱像，無以弗得，無家中神像的生活。

牠自高自大，自以為高及萬象之君，牠除掉經常獻給君的祭，毀壞君的聖所。因罪過的緣故，有軍隊和經常獻的祭交給牠。牠把真理拋在地上，任意而行，無往不利。我聽見有一位聖者說話，又有一位聖者向那說話的聖者說：「這經常獻的祭、帶來荒涼的罪過、聖所與軍隊被踐踏的異象，要持續到幾時呢？」他對我說：「要到二千三百日，聖所就必潔淨。」我－但以理見了這異象，想要明白其中的意思。看哪，有一位形狀像人的站在我面前。

他們必被聚集，像囚犯困在牢裏，他們被關在監獄，多日之後便受懲罰。
