现在我来，要使你明白本国之民日后必遭遇的事，因为这异象关乎后来许多的日子。”

他说：“但以理啊，你只管去；因为这话已经隐藏封闭，直到末时。

他又对我说：“不可封了这书上的预言，因为日期近了。

“人子啊，以色列家的人说：‘他所见的异象是关乎后来许多的日子，所说的预言是指着极远的时候。’

七雷发声之后，我正要写出来，就听见从天上有声音说：“七雷所说的，你要封上，不可写出来。”

我对她说：“你当多日为我独居，不可行淫，不可归别人为妻，我向你也必这样。”以色列人也必多日独居，无君王，无首领，无祭祀，无柱像，无以弗得，无家中的神像。

并且它自高自大，以为高及天象之君；除掉常献给君的燔祭，毁坏君的圣所。因罪过的缘故，有军旅和常献的燔祭交付它。它将真理抛在地上，任意而行，无不顺利。我听见有一位圣者说话，又有一位圣者问那说话的圣者说：“这除掉常献的燔祭和施行毁坏的罪过，将圣所与军旅践踏的异象，要到几时才应验呢？”他对我说：“到二千三百日，圣所就必洁净。”我但以理见了这异象，愿意明白其中的意思。忽有一位形状像人的站在我面前。

他们必被聚集，像囚犯被聚在牢狱中，并要囚在监牢里，多日之后便被讨罪。
