但以理啊！你当隐藏这些话语，封住这书卷，直到末后的时期；必有许多人往来奔走，知识也必增多。”

现在我来了，要使你领悟末后的日子将要临到你民的事，因为这异象是关于末后的日子。”

他说：“但以理啊，你只管去吧！因为这些话语已经被隐藏、被封住了，直到末后的时期。

他又对我说：“不可封住这书上的预言之话，因为时候快到了。

当那七个雷发出了自己的声音，我正要写下来，却听见有声音从天上传来，说：“你要封住七个雷所说的话，不可写下来。”

它高抬自己，要高达天军之首；它还除掉给天军之首常献的祭，使他的圣所之地被丢弃。因罪过的缘故，天军与常献的祭一同被交出去；这小犄角把真理丢弃在地，它所做的都顺利。然后我听见一位圣者在说话，又有一位圣者问那说话的：“这异象，就是有关常献的祭、带来荒凉的罪过、圣所和天军被践踏之事，要到什么时候呢？”他就回答我：“要经过两千三百个晚上和早晨，那时圣所就必重归为圣。”我但以理正在观看这异象，想要领悟它，看哪，有一位样貌像人的站在我面前！

他们必被聚在一起，像地牢中被囚的人；他们被关进监狱，多日以后必受惩罚。
