我在異象中看見自己在以攔省的書珊城，又看見自己站在烏萊河畔。

我见了异象的时候，我以为在以拦省书珊城中；我见异象又如在乌莱河边。

我見了異象的時候，我以為在以攔省書珊城中；我見異象又如在烏萊河邊。

其時、我恍若在以攔州、書珊宮、我於異象中、在烏萊河濱、

恍惚間若在以攔國書山殿、烏來河濱、

我見異象之時、以為我在以攔州、書珊城、我於異象中彷彿在烏萊河濱、

In my vision I saw myself in the citadel of Susa in the province of Elam; in the vision I was beside the Ulai Canal.

In my vision I saw myself in the city of Susa. It has high walls around it. It is in the land of Elam. In the vision I was beside the Ulai Canal.

And I saw in the vision; and when I saw, I was in Susa the citadel, which is in the province of Elam. And I saw in the vision, and I was at the Ulai canal.

In this vision I was at the fortress of Susa, in the province of Elam, standing beside the Ulai River.

I saw the vision, and as I watched, I was in the fortress city of Susa, in the province of Elam. I saw in the vision that I was beside the Ulai Canal.

I looked in the vision, and while I was looking, I was in the citadel of Susa, which is in the province of Elam; and I looked in the vision, and I myself was beside the Ulai Canal.

I saw in the vision, and it so happened while I was looking, that I was in Shushan, the citadel, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in the vision that I was by the River Ulai.

And I saw in the vision; now it was so, that when I saw, I was in Shushan the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in the vision, and I was by the river Ulai.

I saw the vision, and as I watched, I was in the fortress city of Susa, in the province of Elam. I saw in the vision that I was beside the Ulai Canal.

And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that I[ was] at Shushan[ in] the palace, which[ is] in the province of Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai.

In this vision I saw myself in Susa the citadel, which is located in the province of Elam. In the vision I saw myself at the Ulai Canal.

I saw the vision. Now it was so, that when I saw, I was in the citadel of Susa, which is in the province of Elam. I saw in the vision, and I was by the river Ulai.

以下是哈迦利亞的兒子尼希米的記述。波斯王亞達薛西二十年基斯流月，我在書珊城裡。

亞哈隨魯王在書珊城登基，

心利的眾王、以攔的眾王和瑪代的眾王，

那時，示拿王暗拉非、以拉撒王亞略、以攔王基大老瑪和戈印王提達聯合攻打以下五王：所多瑪王比拉、蛾摩拉王比沙、押瑪王示納、洗扁王善以別和比拉王，即瑣珥王。

王的諭旨一下，許多年輕的女子被召到書珊城中，交給管理女子的希該照管。以斯帖也被送到王宮中交給希該。

閃的兒子是以攔、亞述、亞法撒、路德、亞蘭。

以攔在那裡，她的百姓在她墳墓的周圍。他們都未受割禮，喪身刀下，下到了陰間。他們生前曾使人恐懼，如今卻和下墳墓的人一同抱愧蒙羞。

但以理說：「我在夜間的異象中看見天風四面吹來，攪動大海。

亞達月十四日，書珊城的猶太人再次聚集起來，在城中殺了三百人，但沒有動他們的財物。

我舉目觀看，見一隻長著長角的公綿羊站在河邊，其中一角比另一角長，較長的角是後長出來的。

末底改身穿藍色和白色朝服，頭戴大金冠，披著紫色細麻布外袍，從王那裡出來，書珊城的人都歡呼雀躍。

「我但以理心中不安，腦中出現的異象令我恐懼，

當天，王獲悉在書珊城被殺的人數，

猶大王西底迦執政初期，耶和華告訴了耶利米先知有關以攔的事。萬軍之耶和華說：「看啊，我要摧毀以攔的弓箭手——他們的精銳之師。我要使敵人從四面八方如風而來，把以攔人驅散到四方，使他們流落到列國。我要讓仇敵擊潰他們，我要發烈怒降禍給他們，用刀劍追殺他們，直到徹底消滅他們。這是耶和華說的。我要在以攔設立我的寶座，消滅那裡的君王和官長。這是耶和華說的。但將來有一天，我要使被擄的以攔人重建家園。這是耶和華說的。」

耶和華說：「你們聽我說，你們中間若有先知，我耶和華必在異象中向他顯現，在夢中跟他說話。

我看見一個令人膽戰心驚的異象：「詭詐的在行詭詐，毀滅的在行毀滅。以攔人啊，攻打吧！瑪代人啊，圍城吧！耶和華必終止巴比倫帶來的痛苦。」

到那日，主必再次伸手從亞述、埃及、巴特羅、古實、以攔、示拿、哈馬和眾海島救回祂剩餘的子民。

在古代，上帝曾藉著先知以各種方式多次向我們的祖先說話；

信差奉王的命令急忙上路，諭旨也在書珊城裡頒佈了。王和哈曼坐下飲酒，書珊城一片慌亂。

以斯帖回答說：「敵人和仇家就是這惡人哈曼！」哈曼在王和王后面前十分驚恐。
