馬利亞卻把這一切事存在心裏，反復思想。

他就同他們下去、到拿撒勒、去順服他們；他母親把這一切事都存在心裏。

我但以理呢、我的靈在它的鞘子裏愁苦；我腦中所見的異象使我驚惶。

於是我但以理精疲力竭，病了幾天，然後起來辦理王的事務；我因所見的景象而驚駭，全不明白其中的意義。

只剩下我獨自一人；我見了這大景象，便渾身全無餘力；我的美貌變色，力氣都持不住。

於是那名叫伯提沙撒的但以理一時愕然，他的思想使他驚惶。王應時說：『伯提沙撒啊，不要讓夢和夢的解析使你驚惶。』伯提沙撒回答說：『我主啊，願這夢歸與恨惡你的人，而其解析歸與你的敵人。

他說：『我要指示你知道上帝震怒之末期所必有的事，因為這是關於末了之定期的。

他便走近我所站的地方；他一來到，我就驚惶失措，臉伏於地。他對我說：『人子啊，你要明白這異象是關於末了時期的。』

他說：『但以理啊，去你的吧！因為這些話是已封閉又密封着、到末了時期的。

王就變了氣色，他的思想使他驚惶；他的腰骨好像脫了節，雙膝直彼此相碰。

全羣的人一看見耶穌、都非常驚訝，就跑上前去，給他請安。

約瑟將這個夢向他父親和哥哥們敘說，他父親就叱責他說：『你做的這個夢是甚麼夢？難道我和你母親你弟兄都真地要來伏地、向你下拜？』

去你的吧、直到末了；你必得安頓：到了日期的末了、你就得以站立起來、享受你的業分。』

這兩個王呢、一心專想行壞事；在同一席上也說謊；但那是不能成功的，因為到了定期、結局還是來到。

『人子將要被送交在人手裏：你們要把這些話聽進耳中。』
