瑪麗亞卻把這一切事存在心裡，反覆思想。

於是耶穌與他們一起下去，回到拿撒勒，一直服從他們。他的母親把這一切事都珍藏在心裡。

「至於我但以理，我的靈在我裡面憂傷，我腦海中的異象使我惶恐。

我但以理為此精疲力竭，病了幾天；然後起來辦理王的事務。我因這異象而驚恐，無法領悟它。

因此，唯獨剩下我一人看到了這極大的異象；我裡面一點力氣都沒有，我的臉色變得如同死灰，我的力氣也留存不住，

那時，稱為伯提沙撒的但以理一陣驚恐，他的意念使他惶恐。王就開口說：「伯提沙撒啊，不要讓這夢和夢的釋義使你惶恐！」伯提沙撒回應說：「我主啊，願這夢歸於那些恨惡你的人，願夢的釋義歸於你的敵人！

他說：「看哪，我要使你明白在那憤怒的末期將要發生的事，因為這是關於所定的末後時期。

於是加百列來到我所站的地方。他一來，我就驚惶失措，臉伏於地。他對我說：「人子啊，你當領悟，這異象是關於末後的時期！」

他說：「但以理啊，你只管去吧！因為這些話語已經被隱藏、被封住了，直到末後的時期。

王的臉色就變了，他的意念使他惶恐，他的腰骨鬆脫，雙膝彼此相碰。

眾人一見耶穌，都大吃一驚，就跑過去歡迎他。

約瑟把夢向父親和哥哥們講述了，父親就斥責他說：「你做的這是什麼夢呢？難道我和你母親、你哥哥們真要來俯伏於地，向你下拜嗎？」

至於你，你只管去吧，直到你的結局！你必安息，到了末後的那些日子，你必起來得你的份。」

這兩個王，他們的心都傾向作惡，他們同席卻彼此說謊，但他們的計謀不會成功，因為結局在所定的時期才會來到。

「你們要把這話存在耳中：人子將要被交在人的手中。」
