因此，只有我一人留下来；我看见了这大异象，就全身无力，脸色大变，一点力气都没有。

于是那称为伯提沙撒的但以理惊愕片时，他想到的事使他惊惶。王对他说：“伯提沙撒啊！别让这梦和梦的意思使你惊惶。”伯提沙撒回答说：“我主啊！愿这梦归给憎恨你的人，梦的意思归给你的敌人。

他说：“看哪！我要告诉你在神忿怒审判的后期必要发生的事，因为这是有关那末后的定期的。

他就来到我所站的地方；他来到的时候，我就害怕，脸伏在地；他对我说：“人子啊，你要明白！这异象是关于末后的时期的。”

他回答：“但以理啊！你只管去吧，因为这些话已经隐藏密封，直到末期。

就脸色大变，心意惊惶，两脚无力，双膝彼此相碰。

众人看见了耶稣，都很惊奇，就跑上前去向他问安。

约瑟把梦向他父亲和哥哥们述说了，他父亲就斥责他，说：“你所作的这梦是什么梦呢？我和你母亲，以及你的兄弟，真的要来俯伏在地向你下拜吗？”

你应去等待结局！你必安歇；到了末日，你必起来，承受你的分。”

至于那两个王，他们都存心不良；他们同桌吃饭，也彼此说谎；他们的阴谋却不成功，因为要到了指定的时候，结局才会来到。

“你们要把这些话存在心里：人子将要被交在人的手里。”
