‘ The four great beasts are four kings that will rise from the earth.

He said,‘ The four large animals stand for four kings. The kings will appear on the earth.

‘ These four great beasts are four kings who shall arise out of the earth.

“ These four huge beasts represent four kingdoms that will arise from the earth.

‘ These huge beasts, four in number, are four kings who will rise from the earth.

耶穌回答：「我的國不屬於這世界；我的國若屬於這世界，我的部下就會為我戰鬥，使我不至於被交給猶太人。只是我的國不屬於這世界。」

有四隻巨獸從海裏上來，牠們各不相同：頭一個像獅子，有鷹的翅膀；我正觀看的時候，牠的翅膀被拔去，牠從地上被扶起來，用兩腳站立，像人一樣，還給了牠人的心。

他說：「看哪，我要指示你惱怒結束的時候必成的事，因為這是關乎末後指定的時期。你所看見那有雙角的公綿羊就是瑪代王和波斯王。那公山羊就是希臘王；兩眼當中的大角就是第一個王。至於角折斷了，又從角的下面長出四隻角，意思就是有四個國要從這國興起，只是權勢都不及它。

耶和華啊，求你用手救我脫離世人，脫離那只在今生有福分的世人！你以財寶充滿他們的肚腹，他們因有兒女就滿足，將其餘的財物留給他們的孩子。

我又看見一隻獸從海裏上來，有十個角七個頭；在十個角上戴着十個冠冕，七個頭上有褻瀆的名號。

你，王啊，你是諸王之王。天上的神已將國度、權勢、能力、尊榮都賜給你。世人和走獸，並天空的飛鳥，不論居住何處，他都交在你的手中，令你掌管這一切。你就是那金的頭。在你以後必興起另一國，不及於你；又有第三國如銅，必掌管全地。第四國必堅壯如鐵，就像鐵能打碎砸碎一切；鐵怎樣壓碎一切，那國也必照樣打碎壓碎。

我又看見另一隻獸從地裏上來。牠有兩個角如同羔羊，說話好像龍。
