‘ The four great beasts are four kings that will rise from the earth.

He said,‘ The four large animals stand for four kings. The kings will appear on the earth.

‘ These four great beasts are four kings who shall arise out of the earth.

“ These four huge beasts represent four kingdoms that will arise from the earth.

‘ These huge beasts, four in number, are four kings who will rise from the earth.

And four great beasts were coming up from the sea, different from one another.The first was like a lion but had the wings of an eagle. I kept looking until its wings were plucked, and it was lifted up from the ground and set up on two feet like a man; a human mind also was given to it.

And he said,“ Behold, I am going to inform you of what will occur at the final period of the indignation, because it pertains to the appointed time of the end.The ram which you saw with the two horns represents the kings of Media and Persia.The shaggy goat represents the kingdom of Greece, and the large horn that is between his eyes is the first king.The broken horn and the four horns that came up in its place represent four kingdoms which will arise from his nation, although not with his power.

From people by Your hand, Lord, From people of the world, whose portion is in this life, And whose belly You fill with Your treasure; They are satisfied with children, And leave their abundance to their babies.

And the dragon stood on the sand of the seashore. Then I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on his horns were ten crowns, and on his heads were blasphemous names.

You, O king, are the king of kings, to whom the God of heaven has given the kingdom, the power, the strength, and the honor;and wherever the sons of mankind live, or the animals of the field, or the birds of the sky, He has handed them over to you and has made you ruler over them all. You are the head of gold.And after you another kingdom will arise inferior to you, then another third kingdom of bronze, which will rule over all the earth.Then there will be a fourth kingdom as strong as iron; just as iron smashes and crushes everything, so, like iron that crushes, it will smash and crush all these things.

Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke as a dragon.
