至于我—但以理，我的灵在我里面忧伤，我脑中的异象使我惊惶。

上帝说一次、两次，人却不理会。世人在床上沉睡安眠时，在梦中和夜间的异象里，上帝就开通世人的耳朵，把警告印在他们心上，

耶和华回答我，说：将这默示清楚地写在看板上，使人容易朗读。

所以，你要把所看见的事、现在的事和以后将发生的事，都写下来。

尼布甲尼撒在位第二年，他做了很多梦，心里烦乱，不能睡觉。

耶和华说：“你们要听我的话：你们中间若有先知，我—耶和华必在异象中向他显现，在梦中与他说话；

夜间，上帝在异象中对以色列说：“雅各！雅各！”他说：“我在这里。”

我在夜间的异象中观看，看哪，有一位像人子的，驾着天上的云而来，被领到亘古常在者面前。

‘上帝说：在末后的日子，我要将我的灵浇灌凡血肉之躯的。你们的儿女要说预言；你们的少年要见异象；你们的老人要做异梦。在那些日子，我要把我的灵浇灌，甚至给我的仆人和婢女，他们要说预言。

耶利米召了尼利亚的儿子巴录来；巴录就从耶利米口中，把耶和华对耶利米所说的一切话写在书卷上。

只有那在天上的上帝能显明奥秘。他已把日后将要发生的事指示尼布甲尼撒王。你在床上做的梦和你脑中的异象是这样：你，王啊，你在床上所思想的是关乎日后的事，那显明奥秘的主已把将来要发生的事指示你。

从前所写的圣经都是为教导我们写的，要使我们藉着忍耐和因圣经所生的安慰，得着盼望。

虽然自夸无益，我还是不得不夸。我现在要提到主的异象和启示。

列国都要服事他和他的子孙，直到他本国遭报的日期来到；那时，许多国家和大君王要使他作奴隶。

伯沙撒啊，你是他的儿子，你虽知道这一切，却不谦卑自己，

在三十年四月初五，我在迦巴鲁河边被掳的人当中，那时天开了，我看见上帝的异象。

其后，我在夜间的异象中观看，看哪，第四兽可怕可惧，极其强壮，有大铁牙，吞吃嚼碎，剩下的用脚践踏。这兽与前面所有的兽不同，它有十只角。

当夜，迦勒底王伯沙撒被杀。

七个雷发声后，我正要写出来，就听见从天上有声音说：“七个雷所说的，你要封上，不可写出来。”

这些事以后，耶和华的话在异象中临到亚伯兰，说：“亚伯兰哪，不要惧怕！我是你的盾牌，你必得丰富的赏赐。”

耶和华对我说：“你取一块大板子，拿人的笔，写上‘玛黑珥‧沙拉勒‧哈施‧罢斯’。

现在你要去，在他们面前将这话刻在版上，写在书上，以便流传后世，直到永永远远。

伯沙撒王在位第三年，有异象向我—但以理显现，是在先前所见的异象之后。
