神藉着夜间的异象对以色列说：“雅各！雅各！”他说：“我在这里！”

我在夜间的异象中继续观看，看哪，有一位像人子的，在天上的云彩中来临，被引领来到亘古永存者面前！

‘神说，在末后的那些日子里将是这样：我要把我的灵倾注在所有人身上，你们的儿女要说预言，你们的年轻人要见异象，你们的老年人要做异梦。是的，在那些日子里，我也要将我的灵倾注在我的奴仆和婢女们身上，他们就要说预言。

然而天上有一位神，就是显明奥秘的那一位，他已经使尼布甲尼撒王明白了末后的日子将要发生的事——这就是你在床上所做的梦和脑海中的异象。王啊，你在床上所怀的意念是此后将要发生的事，而显明奥秘的那一位已经使你明白了将要发生的事！

实际上，凡是先前被记载的，都是为了教导我们而写的，好让我们藉着忍耐和经上的安慰，怀有盼望。

夸耀虽然没有益处，但是必须的；我要说到主的异象和启示：

“至于你，他的继位人伯沙撒啊！你虽然知道这一切，自己的心却不降卑，

“此后在夜间的异象中我继续观看，看哪，第四只兽非常恐怖、十分可怕、极其强壮！它有大铁牙，吞吃咬碎，又把剩余的用脚踩踏；它与之前的各兽都不相同，它有十只犄角。

当夜，迦勒底人的王伯沙撒被杀了。

当那七个雷发出了自己的声音，我正要写下来，却听见有声音从天上传来，说：“你要封住七个雷所说的话，不可写下来。”

这些事以后，在异象中，耶和华的话语临到亚伯兰，说：“亚伯兰哪，你不要害怕！我是你的盾牌，你的赏报将极其大。”

耶和华对我说：“你要拿一块大板子，用通行的文字写上‘玛黑珥·萨拉勒·哈施·罢斯’。

现在你去！在他们面前把这话刻在版上，记在书卷上，作为将来日子的证据，直到永远。

伯沙撒王在位第三年，又有一个异象向我但以理显现，是在先前向我显现的异象之后。
