Finally these men said,“ We will never find any basis for charges against this man Daniel unless it has something to do with the law of his God.”

那些人就说：“我们要找但以理的把柄，若不从他上帝的律法中下手，就寻不着。”

最后他们说：“除非我们从但以理上帝的律法下手，否则找不到指控他的把柄。”

那些人就说：“如果我们要控告这但以理，就只有在他神的律法中去找把柄。”

这些人就说：“我们如果不在他的神的法令上找出把柄攻击他，就找不出任何把柄控告这但以理。”

那些人便說：「我們要找參這但以理的把柄，除非在他神的律法中就尋不着。」

於是這些人便說：『我們必找不到甚麼把柄來控告這但以理，除非在關於他的上帝的禮節規矩上去找、來告他。』

這些人就說：「我們如果不在他的神的法令上找出把柄攻擊他，就找不出任何把柄控告這但以理。」

其人相語曰、除但以理遵其上帝之法而外、我儕不得其隙以訟之、

彼此相告曰、但以理恆遵上帝禮儀、非指此一端、則不得其故以訟之、

此人彼此相語曰、此但以理、我儕不能得故以訟之、莫若尋在彼事其天主之禮儀、

Finally these men said,“ We want to bring charges against this man Daniel. But it’s almost impossible for us to come up with a reason to do it. If we find a reason, it will have to be in connection with the law of his God.”

Then these men said,“ We shall not find any ground for complaint against this Daniel unless we find it in connection with the law of his God.”

So they concluded,“ Our only chance of finding grounds for accusing Daniel will be in connection with the rules of his religion.”

Then these men said,“ We will never find any charge against this Daniel unless we find something against him concerning the law of his God.”

Then these men said,“ We will not find any ground of accusation against this Daniel unless we find it against him regarding the law of his God.”

Then these men said,“ We shall not find any charge against this Daniel unless we find it against him concerning the law of his God.”

Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.

Then these men said,“ We will never find any charge against this Daniel unless we find something against him concerning the law of his God.”

Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find[ it] against him concerning the law of his God.

So these men concluded,“ We won’t find any pretext against this man Daniel unless it is in connection with the law of his God.”

Then these men said,“ We won’t find any occasion against this Daniel, unless we find it against him concerning the law of his God.”

And they cannot prove to you the charges they are now making against me.However, I admit that I worship the God of our ancestors as a follower of the Way, which they call a sect. I believe everything that is in accordance with the Law and that is written in the Prophets,and I have the same hope in God as these men themselves have, that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked.So I strive always to keep my conscience clear before God and man.

“ You are more righteous than I,” he said.“ You have treated me well, but I have treated you badly.

Or these who are here should state what crime they found in me when I stood before the Sanhedrin—unless it was this one thing I shouted as I stood in their presence:‘ It is concerning the resurrection of the dead that I am on trial before you today.’”

As soon as the chief priests and their officials saw him, they shouted,“ Crucify! Crucify!” But Pilate answered,“ You take him and crucify him. As for me, I find no basis for a charge against him.”The Jewish leaders insisted,“ We have a law, and according to that law he must die, because he claimed to be the Son of God.”

Then Haman said to King Xerxes,“ There is a certain people dispersed among the peoples in all the provinces of your kingdom who keep themselves separate. Their customs are different from those of all other people, and they do not obey the king’s laws; it is not in the king’s best interest to tolerate them.
