Now Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators and the satraps by his exceptional qualities that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom.

Daniel did a better job than the other two leaders or any of the royal rulers. He was an unusually good and able man. So the king planned to put him in charge of the whole kingdom.

Then this Daniel became distinguished above all the other high officials and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him. And the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom.

Daniel soon proved himself more capable than all the other administrators and high officers. Because of Daniel’s great ability, the king made plans to place him over the entire empire.

法老对他的臣仆说：“像他这样的人，有神的灵在他里面，我们还能找得到吗？”于是法老对约瑟说：“既然神把这一切都向你显明了，就没有像你这样有悟性有智慧的人了。你要管理我的家；我所有的子民都要顺从你的话；只有在宝座上的我比你大。”法老又对约瑟说：“你看，我已经委派你管理埃及全地。”

这样我就看到：智慧胜过愚昧，就像光明胜过黑暗。

你看见过做事老练的人吗？他必站在君王面前，而不会站在低微的人面前。

在你开始恳求的时候，就有命令发出，于是我来告诉你，因为你是蒙爱的；你当领悟这话语，要领悟这异象！

约束自己言语的，明白知识；灵里冷静的，是聪慧的人。

不要让慈爱和信实离开你，要把它们系在你的颈项上，刻在你的心版上；这样，你就在神和人的眼前蒙恩，得着美好的见识。
