我乐意宣扬至高上帝向我所行的神迹奇事。他的神迹何其大！他的奇事何其盛！他的国度存到永远；他的权柄存到万代！

弟兄们，我们不要你们不知道，我们从前在亚细亚遭遇苦难，因受到无法忍受的压力，甚至连活命的指望都没有了。自己心里也断定是必死无疑，这是要使我们不依靠自己，只依靠使死人复活的上帝。他曾救我们脱离那极大的死亡，他要继续救我们，而且我们指望他将来还要救我们。

叫我们既从仇敌手中被救出来，就可以终身在他面前，无所惧怕地用圣洁和公义事奉他。
