the twenty- four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say: (niv)

so that all people may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does. (niv)

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. (niv)

Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath.God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged. The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said:“ The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever.” (niv)

The four living creatures said,“ Amen,” and the elders fell down and worshiped. (niv)

Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?” declares the Lord.“ These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word. (niv)

But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. (niv)

When he came near the den, he called to Daniel in an anguished voice,“ Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions?” (niv)

For what mortal has ever heard the voice of the living God speaking out of fire, as we have, and survived? (niv)

David asked the men standing near him,“ What will be done for the man who kills this Philistine and removes this disgrace from Israel? Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God?” (niv)

The Lord reigns forever, your God, O Zion, for all generations. Praise the Lord. (niv)

My flesh trembles in fear of you; I stand in awe of your laws. (niv)

Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this. (niv)

And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. (niv)

Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. (niv)
