At the king’s command, the men who had falsely accused Daniel were brought in and thrown into the lions’ den, along with their wives and children. And before they reached the floor of the den, the lions overpowered them and crushed all their bones.

我整夜哀號，好像被獅子咬斷了全身的骨頭。一日之間，祂使我的生命嘎然而止。

於是，哈曼被吊在他為末底改預備的木架上，王的怒氣這才平息。

但沒有處死他們的孩子，遵照了耶和華在摩西律法書中的吩咐：「不可因孩子犯罪而處死父親，也不可因父親犯罪而處死孩子。各人要自負罪責。」

祂必使我的仇敵自作自受。信實的上帝啊，求你毀滅他們。

這十人是猶太人的仇敵哈曼的兒子、哈米大他的孫子。但猶太人沒有動他們的財物。

約書亞和全體以色列人把謝拉家族的亞干、那些銀子、衣服和金子及其兒女、牛、驢、羊、帳篷和一切所有都帶到亞割谷。約書亞對亞干說：「你為什麼給我們惹禍呢？今天耶和華要降禍給你。」於是，以色列人便拿石頭打死了他和他一切的人畜，將其燒毀。

義人脫離患難，惡人落入苦難。

審判官要仔細審查案件，如果發現那人作偽證，就要按照他企圖加給被誣告者的傷害處罰他。這樣，就從你們當中除掉了罪惡。其他人聽說後，都會害怕，不敢再做這種惡事。

但王知道這陰謀後，便降旨使哈曼謀害猶太人的惡計落到他自己頭上，將他及其眾子吊在木架上。

因為王的命令緊急，窯燒得非常熱，火焰燒死了那些抬沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌的人。
