那靠著你心意堅定的，你會守護他完全平安，因為他依靠你。

王回應說：「看哪，我看到有四個人，並沒有被綁著，在烈火中行走，身上也沒有損傷，而那第四個人，他的樣貌彷彿神子。」

那些行政官、總長、省長和王的謀士們都聚集過來，看到這三個人——烈火無力傷他們的身體，他們的頭髮沒有燒焦，他們的長袍沒有變化，他們身上也沒有火燒的氣味。尼布甲尼撒就開口說：「沙德拉克、米沙克、亞伯尼哥的神是當受頌讚的！他派遣他的使者拯救了他的僕人們；他們信靠神，違抗王的命令，甚至捨棄己身，除了自己的神以外，不事奉、不膜拜任何其他神明。

投靠耶和華，好過依靠人；投靠耶和華，好過依靠高貴的人。

耶和華幫助他們，搭救他們；他搭救他們脫離惡人，把他們拯救出來，因為他們投靠他。

王聽見了這話，就極其煩惱，定意要拯救但以理；直到日落的時候，他還在盡一切努力要解救但以理。

耶穌對他說：「『如果你能』？——對信的人，一切都能。」

你們不要依靠高貴的人，不要依靠世人，在他們那裡沒有拯救。他們的氣一斷，就歸回塵土；他們所謀劃的當天就消亡了。以雅各的神為自己的幫助、以耶和華神為自己盼望的，那人是蒙福的！造諸天、大地、海洋和其中一切的那一位，他必持守信實，直到永遠。

耶和華的名是堅固的塔樓，義人跑進去就安穩在高處。

他們藉著信，征服了列國，行了公義，獲得了那些應許；他們堵住了獅子的口，

然後，王回到宮中，整夜禁食，不讓人給他帶來任何娛樂享受，他也睡不著覺。
