Nebuchadnezzar exclaimed,“ Praised be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent forth his angel and has rescued his servants who trusted in him, ignoring the edict of the king and giving up their bodies rather than serve or pay homage to any god other than their God!

This is the reason I do my best to always have a clear conscience toward God and toward people.

The LORD’s angel camps around the LORD’s loyal followers and delivers them.

The LORD sent a messenger and he wiped out all the soldiers, princes, and officers in the army of the king of Assyria. So Sennacherib returned home humiliated. When he entered the temple of his god, some of his own sons struck him down with the sword.

For last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve came to me

Then the king was delighted and gave an order to haul Daniel up from the den. So Daniel was hauled up out of the den. He had no injury of any kind, because he had trusted in his God.

Jesus replied,“ Do not touch me, for I have not yet ascended to my Father. Go to my brothers and tell them,‘ I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”Mary Magdalene came and informed the disciples,“ I have seen the Lord!” And she told them what Jesus had said to her.

O LORD my God, in you I have taken shelter. Deliver me from all who chase me! Rescue me!Otherwise they will rip me to shreds like a lion; they will tear me to bits and no one will be able to rescue me.O LORD my God, if I have done what they say, or am guilty of unjust actions,or have wronged my ally, or helped his lawless enemy,

As he approached the den, he called out to Daniel in a worried voice,“ Daniel, servant of the living God, was your God whom you continually serve able to rescue you from the lions?”

Do not abandon me, O LORD! My God, do not remain far away from me!

Tell the innocent it will go well with them, for they will be rewarded for what they have done.

Paul said in his defense,“ I have committed no offense against the Jewish law or against the temple or against Caesar.”But Festus, wanting to do the Jews a favor, asked Paul,“ Are you willing to go up to Jerusalem and be tried before me there on these charges?”Paul replied,“ I am standing before Caesar’s judgment seat, where I should be tried. For our reason for confidence is this: the testimony of our conscience, that with pure motives and sincerity which are from God– not by human wisdom but by the grace of God– we conducted ourselves in the world, and all the more toward you.

He went on to say,“ Why is my lord chasing his servant? What have I done? What wrong have I done?

I maintain a pure lifestyle, so I can appear before your altar, O LORD,
