with three administrators over them, one of whom was Daniel. The satraps were made accountable to them so that the king might not suffer loss.

He placed three leaders over them. One of the leaders was Daniel. The royal rulers were made accountable to the three leaders. Then the king wouldn’t lose any of his wealth.

and over them three high officials, of whom Daniel was one, to whom these satraps should give account, so that the king might suffer no loss.

The king also chose Daniel and two others as administrators to supervise the high officers and protect the king’s interests.

and over them three administrators, including Daniel. These satraps would be accountable to them so that the king would not be defrauded.

Over them would be three supervisors, one of whom was Daniel. These satraps were accountable to them, so that the king’s interests might not incur damage.

Then Belshazzar commanded, and they clothed Daniel with purple, and put a chain of gold about his neck, and made proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.

But I have heard of you, that you can give interpretations, and dissolve doubts. Now if you can read the writing, and make known to me its interpretation, you shall be clothed with purple, and have a chain of gold around your neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.”

Be careful that you not be slack doing so. Why should damage grow to the hurt of the kings?

Then the king made Daniel great, and gave him many great gifts, and made him rule over the whole province of Babylon, and to be chief governor over all the wise men of Babylon.Daniel requested of the king, and he appointed Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego over the affairs of the province of Babylon; but Daniel was in the king’s gate.

For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for male and female slaves, I would have held my peace, although the adversary could not have compensated for the king’s loss.”

Therefore the Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who wanted to reconcile accounts with his servants.

Here, moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.

One who sends a message by the hand of a fool is cutting off feet and drinking violence.

“ Therefore Yahweh, the God of Israel, says,‘ I said indeed that your house and the house of your father should walk before me forever.’ But now Yahweh says,‘ Far be it from me; for those who honor me I will honor, and those who despise me will be cursed.

Length of days is in her right hand. In her left hand are riches and honor.

He called ten servants of his and gave them ten mina coins, and told them,‘ Conduct business until I come.’But his citizens hated him, and sent an envoy after him, saying,‘ We don’t want this man to reign over us.’“ When he had come back again, having received the kingdom, he commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by conducting business.The first came before him, saying,‘ Lord, your mina has made ten more minas.’“ He said to him,‘ Well done, you good servant! Because you were found faithful with very little, you shall have authority over ten cities.’“ The second came, saying,‘ Your mina, Lord, has made five minas.’“ So he said to him,‘ And you are to be over five cities.’Another came, saying,‘ Lord, behold, your mina, which I kept laid away in a handkerchief,for I feared you, because you are an exacting man. You take up that which you didn’t lay down, and reap that which you didn’t sow.’“ He said to him,‘ Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked servant! You knew that I am an exacting man, taking up that which I didn’t lay down, and reaping that which I didn’t sow.Then why didn’t you deposit my money in the bank, and at my coming, I might have earned interest on it?’He said to those who stood by,‘ Take the mina away from him and give it to him who has the ten minas.’“ They said to him,‘ Lord, he has ten minas!’‘ For I tell you that to everyone who has, will more be given; but from him who doesn’t have, even that which he has will be taken away from him.But bring those enemies of mine who didn’t want me to reign over them here, and kill them before me.’”

He called him, and said to him,‘ What is this that I hear about you? Give an accounting of your management, for you can no longer be manager.’
