with three administrators over them, one of whom was Daniel. The satraps were made accountable to them so that the king might not suffer loss.

He placed three leaders over them. One of the leaders was Daniel. The royal rulers were made accountable to the three leaders. Then the king wouldn’t lose any of his wealth.

The king also chose Daniel and two others as administrators to supervise the high officers and protect the king’s interests.

and over them three administrators, including Daniel. These satraps would be accountable to them so that the king would not be defrauded.

and over them, three commissioners( of whom Daniel was one), so that these satraps would be accountable to them, and that the king would not suffer loss.

Then Belshazzar gave the command, and Daniel was clothed with purple, a chain of gold was put around his neck, and a proclamation was made about him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.

But I have heard that you can give interpretations and solve problems. Now if you can read the writing and make known to me its interpretation, you shall be clothed with purple and have a chain of gold around your neck and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.”

And take care not to be slack in this matter. Why should damage grow to the hurt of the king?”

Then the king gave Daniel high honors and many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon and chief prefect over all the wise men of Babylon.Daniel made a request of the king, and he appointed Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego over the affairs of the province of Babylon. But Daniel remained at the king’s court.

For we have been sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be killed, and to be annihilated. If we had been sold merely as slaves, men and women, I would have been silent, for our affliction is not to be compared with the loss to the king.”

“ Therefore the kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who wished to settle accounts with his servants.

Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.

Whoever sends a message by the hand of a fool cuts off his own feet and drinks violence.

Therefore the Lord, the God of Israel, declares:‘ I promised that your house and the house of your father should go in and out before me forever,’ but now the Lord declares:‘ Far be it from me, for those who honor me I will honor, and those who despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.

Calling ten of his servants, he gave them ten minas, and said to them,‘ Engage in business until I come.’But his citizens hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying,‘ We do not want this man to reign over us.’When he returned, having received the kingdom, he ordered these servants to whom he had given the money to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by doing business.The first came before him, saying,‘ Lord, your mina has made ten minas more.’And he said to him,‘ Well done, good servant! Because you have been faithful in a very little, you shall have authority over ten cities.’And the second came, saying,‘ Lord, your mina has made five minas.’And he said to him,‘ And you are to be over five cities.’Then another came, saying,‘ Lord, here is your mina, which I kept laid away in a handkerchief;for I was afraid of you, because you are a severe man. You take what you did not deposit, and reap what you did not sow.’He said to him,‘ I will condemn you with your own words, you wicked servant! You knew that I was a severe man, taking what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow?Why then did you not put my money in the bank, and at my coming I might have collected it with interest?’And he said to those who stood by,‘ Take the mina from him, and give it to the one who has the ten minas.’And they said to him,‘ Lord, he has ten minas!’‘ I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.But as for these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slaughter them before me.’”

And he called him and said to him,‘ What is this that I hear about you? Turn in the account of your management, for you can no longer be manager.’
