Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.

Daniel found out that the king had signed the order. In spite of that, he did just as he had always done before. He went home to his upstairs room. Its windows opened toward Jerusalem. He went to his room three times a day to pray. He got down on his knees and gave thanks to his God.

When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem. He got down on his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously.

如爾國民、奉爾所遣、無論何適、與敵戰鬥時、向爾所簡之邑、及我所建之殿、為籲爾名之所、祈禱耶和華、

眾又告王曰、猶大之俘囚但以理者、不尊崇王、不遵王命、祈求上帝、日凡三次、

子率爾吐詞、見絕於爾、然余猶望爾之聖殿、

所羅門跪耶和華壇前、向天舉手、祈禱既畢、則起、

越日行將近城、時當午正、彼得升屋祈禱、

一心一意、歸向乎爾、望爾所錫列祖之故土、及爾所簡之邑垣、與我所建之殿、為籲名之所、祈求於爾、則爾在天、居於明宮、俯聞厥祈、俾其得救。爾民犯罪於爾、爾其赦宥、使虜之者施其矜憫、

如以色列族人、自知其心之非、不論何事、展舒其手、向斯殿以祈求、

魔鬼將爾數人幽囚之、加爾以禍、受難十日、然爾雖受苦、毋畏、當盡忠至死、我必賚爾永生之賞、若加冠冕、

宗主諸兄弟、因我縲絏、益毅然傳道無懼、

故當毅然至沾恩之位之前、得矜恤恩寵、適合機宜而助我、

既作銅臺、長廣各五尺、高三尺、置院中、所羅門立其上、在以色列族前曲跽、向天舉手、

然我不以為意、不貴生命、但忻然馳驟、以盡我程、並主耶穌所授之職、以上帝恩寵福音示人、

維我終日、籲呼於主、其矜憫余兮。

今祭司諸長恐喝我、求主鑒之、俾僕侃侃傳道、

遂離之、約投石之遠、屈膝祈禱、

屈膝大呼曰、主乎、勿以此罪歸之、言畢而逝、掃羅見其死、亦喜、

我知爾所為、爾所處者、乃撒但之邦畿、昔安提帕為我作證、克盡厥忠、見殺於爾間、而爾猶尊我名、不拒我道、

今方巳初、此人不醉、如爾所逆億也、

我曰、豈有我而逃遁者乎、豈有我而入殿、倖保己命者乎、是謀我不為也。

往立殿中、以生命之道教民、

時維五旬節、門徒咸集、惟一心、忽自天有聲、如奮迅之風、充滿坐室、

眾然其言、召使徒入、扑之、命勿以耶穌名訓人、遂釋之、○使徒離會所、皆喜、以為耶穌名而受辱、實榮我焉、於是、在殿在家誨人、傳耶穌基督福音、日無止息、

我企望無愧、平昔諤諤、今而後、或生或死、基督將因我躬丕顯矣、

所言所行、必為主耶穌名而為之、亦賴耶穌謝父上帝矣、

一心一意、歸向乎爾、望爾所賜列祖之故土、及爾所簡之邑垣、與我所建之殿、為籲名之所、祈求於爾、

吾友乎、吾語汝、殺爾身、後別無所為者、勿懼、我示爾所當懼者、即殺後、又有權投爾於地獄、我誠告爾、當懼者此也、五雀非二分金購乎、然上帝前、其一亦不忘也、即爾髮皆已見數、故勿懼、爾比多雀貴也、○吾語汝、在人前認我者、人子於上帝使者前、亦將認之、在人前拒我者、於上帝使者前、亦必拒之、

人就我而不過於愛父母、妻子、兄弟、姊妹、與己生命者、不得為我徒、

殺身而不能殺魂者、勿懼、惟能殺身及魂於地獄者、甚可懼也、二雀、非一分金購乎、然爾父弗許、其一不隕地、爾髮亦且見數、故勿懼、爾比多雀貴焉、凡認我於人前、我亦認之於我天父前、凡拒我於人前、我亦拒之於我天父前、

有曰爾當遁逃、如鳥歸岑兮、惡者將挽弓繳矢、私射直躬之人兮、柱石傾頹、義士孤行兮、不知余惟耶和華是倚是憑兮。

越七日、我儕往、眾與妻孥、送至邑外、皆於岸屈膝祈禱、

凡爾僕及以色列民、祈禱於此、望爾在天上、居處之所、俯聽其祈、得蒙赦宥、
