Now when Daniel learned that the document was signed, he entered his house( and in his roof chamber he had windows open toward Jerusalem); and he continued kneeling on his knees three times a day, praying and offering praise before his God, just as he had been doing previously.

Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.

Daniel found out that the king had signed the order. In spite of that, he did just as he had always done before. He went home to his upstairs room. Its windows opened toward Jerusalem. He went to his room three times a day to pray. He got down on his knees and gave thanks to his God.

Evening and morning and at noon, I will complain and moan, And He will hear my voice.

But Peter and the apostles answered,“ We must obey God rather than men.

Come, let’s worship and bow down, Let’s kneel before the Lord our Maker.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

pray without ceasing,in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.

Through Him then, let’s continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips praising His name.

But Peter sent them all out and knelt down and prayed, and turning to the body, he said,“ Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.

I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

But as for me, by Your abundant graciousness I will enter Your house, At Your holy temple I will bow in reverence for You.

“ When Your people go out to battle against their enemy, by whatever way You send them, and they pray to the Lord toward the city which You have chosen and the house which I have built for Your name,

Then they responded and spoke before the king,“ Daniel, who is one of the exiles from Judah, pays no attention to you, O king, or to the injunction which you signed, but keeps offering his prayer three times a day.”

So I said,‘ I have been cast out of Your sight. Nevertheless I will look again toward Your holy temple.’

When Solomon had finished praying this entire prayer and plea to the Lord, he stood up from the altar of the Lord, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread toward heaven.

On the next day, as they were on their way and approaching the city, Peter went up on the housetop about the sixth hour to pray.

if they return to You with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their enemies who have taken them captive, and pray to You toward their land which You have given to their fathers, the city which You have chosen, and the house which I have built for Your name;then hear their prayer and their pleading in heaven, Your dwelling place, and maintain their cause,and forgive Your people who have sinned against You and all their wrongdoings which they have committed against You, and make them objects of compassion before those who have taken them captive, so that they will have compassion on them

whatever prayer or plea is offered by any person or by all Your people Israel, each knowing the affliction of his own heart, and spreading his hands toward this house;

Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, so that you will be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

and that most of the brothers and sisters, trusting in the Lord because of my imprisonment, have far more courage to speak the word of God without fear.

Therefore let’s approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for help at the time of our need.

Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the ninth hour, the hour of prayer.

For Solomon had made a bronze platform, five cubits long, five cubits wide, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the courtyard; and he stood on it, knelt on his knees in the presence of all the assembly of Israel and spread out his hands toward heaven.

But so that it will not spread any further among the people, let’s warn them not to speak any longer to any person in this name.”And when they had summoned them, they commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.But Peter and John answered and said to them,“ Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, make your own judgment;

But at the evening offering I stood up from my humiliation, even with my garment and my robe torn, and I bowed down on my knees and spread out my hands to the Lord my God;

When he had said these things, he knelt down and prayed with them all.

For this reason I bend my knees before the Father,

But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of God’s grace.

Be gracious to me, Lord, For I call upon You all day long.

And now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant it to Your bond servants to speak Your word with all confidence,

And He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and began to pray,

Then he fell on his knees and cried out with a loud voice,“ Lord, do not hold this sin against them!” Having said this, he fell asleep.

‘ I know where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is; and you hold firmly to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days of Antipas, My witness, My faithful one, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.

For these people are not drunk, as you assume, since it is only the third hour of the day;

But I said,“ Should a man like me flee? And who is there like me who would go into the temple to save his own life? I will not go in.”

“ Go, stand and speak to the people in the temple area the whole message of this Life.”

When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place.And suddenly a noise like a violent rushing wind came from heaven, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.

They followed his advice; and after calling the apostles in, they flogged them and ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and then released them.So they went on their way from the presence of the Council, rejoicing that they had been considered worthy to suffer shame for His name.And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they did not stop teaching and preaching the good news of Jesus as the Christ.

according to my eager expectation and hope, that I will not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.

Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

“ Now I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more that they can do.But I will warn you whom to fear: fear the One who, after He has killed someone, has the power to throw that person into hell; yes, I tell you, fear Him!Are five sparrows not sold for two assaria? And yet not one of them has gone unnoticed in the sight of God.But even the hairs of your head are all counted. Do not fear; you are more valuable than a great number of sparrows.“ Now I say to you, everyone who confesses Me before people, the Son of Man will also confess him before the angels of God;but the one who denies Me before people will be denied before the angels of God.

“ If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his own father, mother, wife, children, brothers, sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.

And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.Are two sparrows not sold for an assarion? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.But even the hairs of your head are all counted.So do not fear; you are more valuable than a great number of sparrows.“ Therefore, everyone who confesses Me before people, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven.But whoever denies Me before people, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.

In the Lord I take refuge; How can you say to my soul,“ Flee as a bird to your mountain?For, behold, the wicked bend the bow, They have set their arrow on the string To shoot in darkness at the upright in heart.

When our days there were ended, we left and started on our journey, while they all, with wives and children, escorted us until we were out of the city. After kneeling down on the beach and praying, we said farewell to one another.

And listen to the plea of Your servant and of Your people Israel, when they pray toward this place; hear in heaven Your dwelling place; hear and forgive!
