竟高抬自己，敌对天上的主，使人把他殿中的器皿拿到你面前来，你和你的大臣、妻妾、妃嫔用这些器皿喝酒；你又赞美那些不能看见、不能听见、什么都不能知道，用金、银、铜、铁、木、石所做的神，却没有把荣耀归给那手中有你的气息，和那掌管你一切命途的神。

反而对天上的主高举自己，让人把他殿中的器皿带到你面前来，你和你的大臣们、妻子们、妃嫔们都用这些来喝酒；你称赞那些不能看、不能听、不能知——用金、银、铜、铁、木、石所做的神明，却不尊崇那位掌握你的气息、掌握你一切道路的神。

反而對天上的主高舉自己，讓人把他殿中的器皿帶到你面前來，你和你的大臣們、妻子們、妃嬪們都用這些來喝酒；你稱讚那些不能看、不能聽、不能知——用金、銀、銅、鐵、木、石所做的神明，卻不尊崇那位掌握你的氣息、掌握你一切道路的神。

惟驕其志、逆天之主、命取厥殿之器、王公后妃、用之飲酒、譽揚金銀銅鐵木石所造之上帝、彼不見不聞、不識不知、至於賜爾呼吸、整爾步履之上帝、爾反不頌美之、

Instead, you have set yourself up against the Lord of heaven. You had the goblets from his temple brought to you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines drank wine from them. You praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or understand. But you did not honor the God who holds in his hand your life and all your ways.

You have taken your stand against the Lord of heaven. You had your servants bring cups from his temple to you. You and your nobles drank wine from them. So did your wives and concubines. You praised your gods. The statues of those gods are made out of silver, gold, bronze, iron, wood or stone. They can’t see or hear or understand anything. But you didn’t honor God. He holds in his hand your very life and everything you do.

but you have lifted up yourself against the Lord of heaven. And the vessels of his house have been brought in before you, and you and your lords, your wives, and your concubines have drunk wine from them. And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see or hear or know, but the God in whose hand is your breath, and whose are all your ways, you have not honored.

For you have proudly defied the Lord of heaven and have had these cups from his Temple brought before you. You and your nobles and your wives and concubines have been drinking wine from them while praising gods of silver, gold, bronze, iron, wood, and stone— gods that neither see nor hear nor know anything at all. But you have not honored the God who gives you the breath of life and controls your destiny!

Instead, you have exalted yourself against the Lord of the heavens. The vessels from his house were brought to you, and as you and your nobles, wives, and concubines drank wine from them, you praised the gods made of silver and gold, bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see or hear or understand. But you have not glorified the God who holds your life-breath in his hand and who controls the whole course of your life.

but you have risen up against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your nobles, your wives, and your concubines have been drinking wine out of them; and you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see, nor hear, nor understand. But the God in whose hand are your life breath and all your ways, you have not glorified.

And you have lifted yourself up against the Lord of heaven. They have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your concubines, have drunk wine from them. And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, bronze and iron, wood and stone, which do not see or hear or know; and the God who holds your breath in His hand and owns all your ways, you have not glorified.

動物之生、世人之氣、悉在其手、

耶和華歟、我知人之道途不由己、人行於世、不能自定其步履、

爾所侮所謗者為誰、向誰揚爾聲、高爾目、乃以色列之聖者也、

其集挽弓之眾、來攻巴比倫、列營圍之、勿容一人逃遁、循其所為而報之、依其所行以待之、緣彼狂傲、悖逆以色列之聖者耶和華也、

今我尼布甲尼撒、頌美稱揚尊崇天上之王、其所行者、悉為真實、其道公義、惟驕泰而行者、則降而卑之、

蓋萬軍之耶和華、將有一日臨及驕矜者、狂傲者、自高者、降之為卑、

上帝豈非鑒察我道途、悉數我步履乎、

人之步履、耶和華所定、焉能自識其道、

異邦偶像、乃銀乃金、人手所造、有口不言、有目不見、有耳不聞、有鼻不嗅、有手不挈、有足不行、喉不出言兮、造之者、賴之者、必似之兮、

工師雕像、於製造者何益之有、鑄偶乃偽師、製造者恃此喑啞之像、何益之有、謂木曰寤、謂啞石曰起、其人禍哉、此物豈能垂訓乎、彼飾以金銀、而中無生氣、

爾擊以東、心高而誇耀之、安居於家可耳、何為招禍、以致傾覆、猶大與爾偕亡乎、

無物不顯於其前、萬有呈露於鞫我者之目也、○

投其神於火、蓋其神非神、乃木石、人手所造、故得而毀滅之、

顧彼既知上帝、而不以上帝榮之、亦不謝之、乃思議虛妄、心蠢而昧、自稱為智、適成為愚、以不朽上帝之榮、而易以必朽之人、及禽獸昆蟲之狀、○

我行我臥、爾察之詳、我之作為、爾知之稔兮、

又予之口、言諸大事、及諸謗讟、又予之權、凡四十有二月、遂啟口出謗讟上帝之言、即其名其幕、並居於天者、

非若有所需者、受人手之供事、自以生命氣息、及萬物賜眾、

耶和華曰、我今崛起、我今勃興、我今高舉、

耶和華上帝摶土為人、噓生氣於其鼻、乃成生靈、

非利士牧伯集眾、大祭其神大袞、而取歡樂、曰、我神以敵參孫付於我手、

彼若定志為己、使神與氣歸之、則凡有血氣者必偕亡、世人咸歸於土、

甫入教者未可也、恐其自衒、罹魔之刑、

祝之曰、願天地之主宰、至高之上帝、錫嘏於亞伯蘭、

異邦偶像、乃銀乃金、人手所造、有口不言、有目不見、有耳不聞、有口無氣、

其人心驕、中懷不正、惟義者以信得生、

諸天為耶和華所有、地則賜予世人兮、

人傾囊出金、權衡其銀、僱厥金工、以鑄神像、俯伏而拜、荷之於肩、攜之而往、置諸其所、使之屹立、不離其處、人或呼之、而不能應、不能拯人於難、○

其氣一絕、歸於厥土、所有圖謀、即日消亡兮、

耶和華上帝創造諸天、而展布之、鋪張大地、及其土產、以生氣賦億兆、以神性畀行於地上之人、

蓋我儕在其中而生、而動、而存、如爾作詩者有云、我儕亦為其裔、既為上帝裔、則不當意其性質如金銀石、為人工機巧雕琢者、

伯沙撒暢飲之際、命取其父尼布甲尼撒自耶路撒冷殿中、所取之金銀器皿、王及大臣后妃、以之而飲、遂取自耶路撒冷上帝殿中、所取之金器至、王及大臣后妃、以之而飲、彼眾飲酒、頌讚金銀銅鐵木石之神、

非利士人奪上帝之匱、自以便以謝舁至亞實突、置於大袞廟、在大袞側、翌晨、亞實突人夙興、見大袞仆、伏於地、在耶和華匱前、遂取而置之於其所、次日夙興、見大袞仆、伏於地、在耶和華匱前、其首與手、並斷於閾、惟遺殘體而已、故在亞實突、大袞祭司、及入大袞廟者、不履其閾、至於今日、○耶和華之手、加重禍於亞實突人、擊之以痔、而翦滅之、至於四境、亞實突人見此、則曰、以色列上帝之匱、不可留此、蓋其手加烈禍於我、及我神大袞、遂遣人集非利士牧伯曰、以色列上帝之匱、何以處之、僉曰、當運至迦特、乃運於彼、運至之後、耶和華之手擊其邑、使大擾亂、其人無論尊卑、悉被擊、咸生痔、

人子歟、當謂推羅君曰、主耶和華云、爾心驕泰、自謂我為上帝、坐上帝之位於海中、居心同乎上帝、爾仍為人、非上帝也、

夫食祭像之物、我知在世之像為虛、上帝乃獨一無他、

爾因美麗、中心驕泰、爾之榮光、敗爾智慧、我必仆爾於地、置爾於列王前、為其目睹、

主耶和華曰、因其崇高、其杪入雲、心志驕泰、

以大智暨貿易、增益富厚、因而中心驕泰、

爾既掩面、彼則驚惶、爾斷其氣、彼即死亡、歸於塵土兮、
