“ But you, Belshazzar, his son, have not humbled yourself, though you knew all this.

“ But you knew all that, Belshazzar. After all, you are Nebuchadnezzar’s son. In spite of that, you are still proud.

And you his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this,

“ You are his successor, O Belshazzar, and you knew all this, yet you have not humbled yourself.

But he did not humble himself before the LORD like his father Manasseh humbled himself; instead, Amon increased his guilt.

So Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh and told him,“ This is what the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, says: How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, that they may worship me.

If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them.

Peter and the apostles replied,“ We must obey God rather than people.The God of our ancestors raised up Jesus, whom you had murdered by hanging him on a tree.God exalted this man to his right hand as ruler and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.”When they heard this, they were enraged and wanted to kill them.

Your Majesty, the Most High God gave sovereignty, greatness, glory, and majesty to your predecessor Nebuchadnezzar.

And that servant who knew his master’s will and didn’t prepare himself or do it will be severely beaten.

For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you didn’t believe him. Tax collectors and prostitutes did believe him; but you, when you saw it, didn’t even change your minds then and believe him.

since John had been telling him,“ It’s not lawful for you to have her.”

So it is sin to know the good and yet not do it.
