震動爾怒、見矜高者則抑之、見驕傲者則降之、將惡人踐於其所、

心驕者主所惡、其子其孫、難免有罪、

故爾當乘尚有今日、日相勸勉、免爾中有人迷於罪、而剛愎其心、

因其舉手抗拒天主、妄恃己力、侮慢全能之主、挺身前趨、取厚盾以敵之、面蒙以脂、腰肥肉垂、

爾明光之晨星歟、何竟隕自天哉、勝列國者歟、何竟偃仆塵埃哉、爾自謂、我必升天、設位在天主眾星之上、坐於聚會之山、在北之極處、升於雲霄、與至上者相比、今爾下示阿勒、墮於坑塹、見爾者必細觀爾、注目視爾曰、震動天下、驚擾列國、使世界荒涼、傾毀城邑、不釋俘囚返故土者、非斯人乎、

故我尼布甲尼撒讚美稱謝頌揚天上之大主宰、其所為者最誠實、其道至公義、惟行動驕傲者、天主使之卑微、

我尼布甲尼撒王曰、此巴比倫大城、非我用大能建為王都、以顯我榮者乎、我尼布甲尼撒王口中言未竟、自天有聲曰、尼布甲尼撒王、告爾有命、爾將失國、眾必逐爾不與人偕居、使與野獸同居、食草若牛、如此歷七期、使爾知至上者、主掌人間之國、隨意以國賜人、即時此言應於我尼布甲尼撒王之身、被逐不與人偕居、食草若牛、為天降之露所濕、首髮長若鷹毛、指甲長若鳥爪、

主以臂施厥大力、心志驕傲者皆散之、有權者黜其位、卑下者升之高、

主如是云、助伊及者、俱必傾仆、伊及之驕傲必卑降、自密奪至敘以尼、其中人民俱亡於刃、此乃主天主所言、

我告爾、得稱義而歸者、此也、非彼也、蓋凡自高者必降為卑、自卑者將升為高、○
