While Belshazzar was drinking his wine, he gave orders to bring in the gold and silver goblets that Nebuchadnezzar his father had taken from the temple in Jerusalem, so that the king and his nobles, his wives and his concubines might drink from them.

They were the cups his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken from the temple in Jerusalem. Belshazzar had them brought in so everyone could drink from them. That included the king himself, his nobles, his wives and his concubines.

塞魯士王也將耶和華殿的器皿拿出來，這器皿是尼布甲尼撒從耶路撒冷掠來、放在自己神之廟中的。波斯王塞魯士派庫官米提利達將這器皿拿出來，按數交給猶大的首領設巴薩。器皿的數目記在下面：金盤三十個，銀盤一千個，刀二十九把，金碗三十個，銀碗之次的四百一十個，別樣的器皿一千件。金銀器皿共有五千四百件。被擄的人從巴比倫上耶路撒冷的時候，設巴薩將這一切都帶上來。

火鼎、碗，無論金的銀的，護衛長也都帶去了。

我又對祭司和這眾民說：「耶和華如此說：你們不可聽那先知對你們所說的預言。他們說：『耶和華殿中的器皿快要從巴比倫帶回來』；其實他們向你們說假預言。不可聽從他們，只管服事巴比倫王便得存活。這城何致變為荒場呢？他們若果是先知，有耶和華的話臨到他們，讓他們祈求萬軍之耶和華，使那在耶和華殿中和猶大王宮內，並耶路撒冷剩下的器皿，不被帶到巴比倫去。（因為萬軍之耶和華論到柱子、銅海、盆座，並剩在這城裏的器皿，就是巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒擄掠猶大王約雅敬的兒子耶哥尼雅，和猶大、耶路撒冷一切貴冑的時候所沒有掠去的器皿。）論到那在耶和華殿中和猶大王宮內，並耶路撒冷剩下的器皿，萬軍之耶和華－以色列的神如此說：必被帶到巴比倫存在那裏，直到我眷顧以色列人的日子。那時，我必將這器皿帶回來，交還此地。這是耶和華說的。」

杯、火鼎、碗、盆、燈臺、調羹、爵，無論金的銀的，護衛長也都帶去了。

竟向天上的主自高，使人將他殿中的器皿拿到你面前，你和大臣、皇后、妃嬪用這器皿飲酒。你又讚美那不能看、不能聽、無知無識、金、銀、銅、鐵、木、石所造的神，卻沒有將榮耀歸與那手中有你氣息，管理你一切行動的神。

迦勒底王將神殿裏的大小器皿與耶和華殿裏的財寶，並王和眾首領的財寶，都帶到巴比倫去了。

他們飲酒，讚美金、銀、銅、鐵、木、石所造的神。

列國都必服事他和他的兒孫，直到他本國遭報的日期來到。那時，多國和大君王要使他作他們的奴僕。

以色列王亞哈的兒子約蘭十二年，猶大王約蘭的兒子亞哈謝登基。他登基的時候年二十二歲，在耶路撒冷作王一年。他母親名叫亞她利雅，是以色列王暗利的孫女。亞哈謝效法亞哈家行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，與亞哈家一樣，因為他是亞哈家的女婿。

但以理就被領到王前。王問但以理說：「你是被擄之猶大人中的但以理嗎？就是我父王從猶大擄來的嗎？

王啊，至高的神曾將國位、大權、榮耀、威嚴賜與你父尼布甲尼撒；

過了一年，尼布甲尼撒差遣人將約雅斤和耶和華殿裏各樣寶貴的器皿帶到巴比倫，就立約雅斤的叔叔西底家作猶大和耶路撒冷的王。

在你國中有一人，他裏頭有聖神的靈，你父在世的日子，這人心中光明，又有聰明智慧，好像神的智慧。你父尼布甲尼撒王，就是王的父，立他為術士、用法術的，和迦勒底人，並觀兆的領袖。

大衛說：「你不要懼怕，我必因你父親約拿單的緣故施恩與你，將你祖父掃羅的一切田地都歸還你；你也可以常與我同席吃飯。」

後來又娶押沙龍的女兒瑪迦，從她生了亞比雅、亞太、細撒、示羅密。

亞撒王貶了他祖母瑪迦太后的位，因她造了可憎的偶像亞舍拉。亞撒砍下她的偶像，搗得粉碎，燒在汲淪溪邊。
