“ Your Majesty, the Most High God was good to your father Nebuchadnezzar. He gave him authority and greatness and glory and honor.

王啊，至高的神曾将国位、大权、荣耀、威严赐与你父尼布甲尼撒；

你，王啊，至高的上帝曾将国度、大权、荣耀、威严赐给你父尼布甲尼撒；

你，王啊，至高的神曾将国度、大权、荣耀、威严赐给你父尼布甲尼撒；

王啊，至高的上帝曾将国位、权力、尊荣、威严赐给你的先王尼布甲尼撒，

王啊！至高的神曾把国位、权势、光荣和威严赐给你先祖尼布甲尼撒。

王啊，至高神把国度、权势、尊荣和威严赐给了你先王尼布甲尼撒！

王啊，至高的神曾將國位、大權、榮耀、威嚴賜與你父尼布甲尼撒；

你，王啊，至高的上帝曾將國度、大權、榮耀、威嚴賜給你父尼布甲尼撒；

王啊！至高的神曾把國位、權勢、光榮和威嚴賜給你先祖尼布甲尼撒。

王啊，至高的上帝曾將國位、大權、尊榮、威嚴、賜給你父尼布甲尼撒；

王啊，至高神把國度、權勢、尊榮和威嚴賜給了你先王尼布甲尼撒！

“ Your Majesty, the Most High God gave your father Nebuchadnezzar sovereignty and greatness and glory and splendor.

O king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your father kingship and greatness and glory and majesty.

Your Majesty, the Most High God gave sovereignty, majesty, glory, and honor to your predecessor, Nebuchadnezzar.

Your Majesty, the Most High God gave sovereignty, greatness, glory, and majesty to your predecessor Nebuchadnezzar.

O king, the Most High God granted sovereignty, greatness, honor, and majesty to Nebuchadnezzar your father.

O king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your father a kingdom and majesty, glory and honor.

O thou king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father the kingdom, and greatness, and glory, and majesty:

Your Majesty, the Most High God gave sovereignty, greatness, glory, and majesty to your predecessor Nebuchadnezzar.

O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honour:

As for you, O king, the most high God bestowed on your father Nebuchadnezzar a kingdom, greatness, honor, and majesty.

“ You, king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your father the kingdom, and greatness, and glory, and majesty.

King Nebuchadnezzar, you are the greatest king of all. The God of heaven has given you authority and power. He has given you might and glory.He has put everyone under your control. He has also given you authority over the wild animals and the birds in the sky. It doesn’t matter where they live. He has made you ruler over all of them. You are that head of gold.

“‘ The decision is announced by holy messengers. So all who are alive will know that the Most High God is King. He rules over all kingdoms on earth. He gives them to anyone he wants. Sometimes he puts the least important people in charge of them.’

But Lord, you are honored forever.

My God sent his angel. And his angel shut the mouths of the lions. They haven’t hurt me at all. That’s because I haven’t done anything wrong in God’s sight. I’ve never done anything wrong to you either, Your Majesty.”

All the nations will serve him and his son and grandson. After that, I will judge his land. Then many nations and great kings will make him serve them.

You will be driven away from people. You will live with the wild animals. You will eat grass just as an ox does. Seven periods of time will pass by for you. Then you will recognize that the Most High God rules over all kingdoms on earth. He gives them to anyone he wants.”

Your Majesty, you are that tree! You have become great and strong. Your greatness has grown until it reaches the sky. Your rule has spread to all parts of the earth.“ Your Majesty, you saw a holy one. He was a messenger. He came down from heaven. He said,‘ Cut down the tree. Destroy it. But leave the stump with its roots in the ground. Let it stay in the field. Put an iron and bronze band around it. Let King Nebuchadnezzar become wet with the dew of heaven. Let him live with the wild animals. Let him stay that way until seven periods of time pass by.’“ Your Majesty, here is what your dream means. The Most High God has given an order against you.You will be driven away from people. You will live with the wild animals. You will eat grass just as an ox does. You will become wet with the dew of heaven. Seven periods of time will pass by for you. Then you will recognize that the Most High God rules over all kingdoms on earth. He gives them to anyone he wants.

Troubles and good things alike come to people because the Most High God has commanded them to come.

“ So then, King Agrippa, I obeyed the vision that appeared from heaven.

When people refuse to give someone what they should, the Most High God knows it.

“ But the Most High God does not live in houses made by human hands. As God says through the prophet,

The Most High God gave the nations their lands. He divided up the human race. He set up borders for the nations. He did it based on the number of the angels in his heavenly court.

About noon, King Agrippa, I was on the road. I saw a light coming from heaven. It was brighter than the sun. It was shining around me and my companions.

I am pleased to tell you what has happened. The Most High God has done miraculous signs and wonders for me.

Do this because the Lord Most High is wonderful. He is the great King over the whole earth.

I will give thanks to the Lord because he does what is right. I will sing the praises of the name of the Lord Most High.

We might be thrown into the blazing furnace. But the God we serve is able to bring us out of it alive. He will save us from your power.But we want you to know this, Your Majesty. Even if we knew that our God wouldn’t save us, we still wouldn’t serve your gods. We wouldn’t worship the gold statue you set up.”

I will be glad and full of joy because of you. Most High God, I will sing the praises of your name.
