‘术士的首领伯提沙撒啊，我知道你有圣洁神明的灵，任何奥秘都难不倒你。请你为我解释我梦中所见的异象。

‘术士的领袖伯提沙撒啊！因为我知道你里面有圣神的灵，没有什么隐秘的事能难倒你；因此，你要把我梦中所见的异象和梦的意思告诉我。

“术士的领袖伯提沙撒啊，我知道你里面有圣洁之神的灵，任何奥秘都难不倒你！你就讲说我所看到的梦中异象和梦的释义吧！

‘術士的領袖伯提沙撒啊！因為我知道你裡面有聖神的靈，沒有甚麼隱祕的事能難倒你；因此，你要把我夢中所見的異象和夢的意思告訴我。

「術士的領袖伯提沙撒啊，我知道你裡面有聖潔之神的靈，任何奧祕都難不倒你！你就講說我所看到的夢中異象和夢的釋義吧！

巫師長伯提沙撒歟、我知聖神之靈寓於爾中、秘奧無足難爾、其告我所得之夢象、為我解之、

博士長伯底沙撒、我知爾感於至聖上帝之神、凡秘奧之事、爾能明晰、無事三思、我所得之夢、其兆維何、願明以告我、

博士長伯提沙撒歟、我知爾素為聖神明之神所感、凡奧秘之事、爾無不明晰、今我得夢、爾解其兆、爾解其兆或作爾為我解之

I said,“ Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you, and no mystery is too difficult for you. Here is my dream; interpret it for me.

I said,“ Belteshazzar, you are chief of the magicians. I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you. No mystery is too hard for you to figure out. Here is my dream. Tell me what it means.

“ O Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you and that no mystery is too difficult for you, tell me the visions of my dream that I saw and their interpretation.

“ I said to him,‘ Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you and that no mystery is too great for you to solve. Now tell me what my dream means.

“ Belteshazzar, head of the magicians, because I know that you have the spirit of the holy gods and that no mystery puzzles you, explain to me the visions of my dream that I saw, and its interpretation.

‘ Belteshazzar, chief of the soothsayer priests, since I know that a spirit of the holy gods is in you and no secret baffles you, tell me the visions of my dream which I have seen, along with its interpretation.

O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in thee, and no secret troubleth thee, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and the interpretation thereof.

“ Belteshazzar, head of the diviners, because I know that you have a spirit of the holy gods and that no mystery puzzles you, explain to me the visions of my dream that I saw, and its interpretation.

O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods[ is] in thee, and no secret troubleth thee, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and the interpretation thereof.

saying,“ Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, in whom I know there to be a spirit of the holy gods and whom no mystery baffles, consider my dream that I saw and set forth its interpretation!

“ Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you, and no secret troubles you, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and its interpretation.

Then the king promoted Daniel and gave him many great gifts; and he made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief administrator over all the wise men of Babylon.

There is a man in your kingdom in whom is the Spirit of the Holy God. And in the days of your father, light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, were found in him; and King Nebuchadnezzar your father— your father the king— made him chief of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers.

But at last Daniel came before me( his name is Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god; in him is the Spirit of the Holy God), and I told the dream before him, saying:

( Behold, you are wiser than Daniel! There is no secret that can be hidden from you!

I saw a dream which made me afraid, and the thoughts on my bed and the visions of my head troubled me.

And in all matters of wisdom and understanding about which the king examined them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm.

And Pharaoh said to his servants,“ Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?”

Your heart will meditate on terror:“ Where is the scribe? Where is he who weighs? Where is he who counts the towers?”

And when Gideon had come, there was a man telling a dream to his companion. He said,“ I have had a dream: To my surprise, a loaf of barley bread tumbled into the camp of Midian; it came to a tent and struck it so that it fell and overturned, and the tent collapsed.”Then his companion answered and said,“ This is nothing else but the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel! Into his hand God has delivered Midian and the whole camp.”And so it was, when Gideon heard the telling of the dream and its interpretation, that he worshiped. He returned to the camp of Israel, and said,“ Arise, for the Lord has delivered the camp of Midian into your hand.”

Then the chief butler told his dream to Joseph, and said to him,“ Behold, in my dream a vine was before me,and in the vine were three branches; it was as though it budded, its blossoms shot forth, and its clusters brought forth ripe grapes.Then Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand; and I took the grapes and pressed them into Pharaoh’s cup, and placed the cup in Pharaoh’s hand.”And Joseph said to him,“ This is the interpretation of it: The three branches are three days.Now within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore you to your place, and you will put Pharaoh’s cup in his hand according to the former manner, when you were his butler.But remember me when it is well with you, and please show kindness to me; make mention of me to Pharaoh, and get me out of this house.For indeed I was stolen away from the land of the Hebrews; and also I have done nothing here that they should put me into the dungeon.”When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said to Joseph,“ I also was in my dream, and there were three white baskets on my head.In the uppermost basket were all kinds of baked goods for Pharaoh, and the birds ate them out of the basket on my head.”So Joseph answered and said,“ This is the interpretation of it: The three baskets are three days.Within three days Pharaoh will lift off your head from you and hang you on a tree; and the birds will eat your flesh from you.”

Woe to us! Who will deliver us from the hand of these mighty gods? These are the gods who struck the Egyptians with all the plagues in the wilderness.

And the king said to them,“ I have had a dream, and my spirit is anxious to know the dream.”Then the Chaldeans spoke to the king in Aramaic,“ O king, live forever! Tell your servants the dream, and we will give the interpretation.”The king answered and said to the Chaldeans,“ My decision is firm: if you do not make known the dream to me, and its interpretation, you shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made an ash heap.

And Pharaoh said to Joseph,“ I have had a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it. But I have heard it said of you that you can understand a dream, to interpret it.”So Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying,“ It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.”Then Pharaoh said to Joseph:“ Behold, in my dream I stood on the bank of the river.Suddenly seven cows came up out of the river, fine looking and fat; and they fed in the meadow.Then behold, seven other cows came up after them, poor and very ugly and gaunt, such ugliness as I have never seen in all the land of Egypt.And the gaunt and ugly cows ate up the first seven, the fat cows.When they had eaten them up, no one would have known that they had eaten them, for they were just as ugly as at the beginning. So I awoke.Also I saw in my dream, and suddenly seven heads came up on one stalk, full and good.Then behold, seven heads, withered, thin, and blighted by the east wind, sprang up after them.And the thin heads devoured the seven good heads. So I told this to the magicians, but there was no one who could explain it to me.”Then Joseph said to Pharaoh,“ The dreams of Pharaoh are one; God has shown Pharaoh what He is about to do:The seven good cows are seven years, and the seven good heads are seven years; the dreams are one.And the seven thin and ugly cows which came up after them are seven years, and the seven empty heads blighted by the east wind are seven years of famine.This is the thing which I have spoken to Pharaoh. God has shown Pharaoh what He is about to do.Indeed seven years of great plenty will come throughout all the land of Egypt;but after them seven years of famine will arise, and all the plenty will be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine will deplete the land.So the plenty will not be known in the land because of the famine following, for it will be very severe.And the dream was repeated to Pharaoh twice because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.“ Now therefore, let Pharaoh select a discerning and wise man, and set him over the land of Egypt.Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, to collect one-fifth of the produce of the land of Egypt in the seven plentiful years.And let them gather all the food of those good years that are coming, and store up grain under the authority of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities.Then that food shall be as a reserve for the land for the seven years of famine which shall be in the land of Egypt, that the land may not perish during the famine.”

In righteousness you shall be established; You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; And from terror, for it shall not come near you.

And the Lord said,“ Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them.Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.”So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city.

“ This dream I, King Nebuchadnezzar, have seen. Now you, Belteshazzar, declare its interpretation, since all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known to me the interpretation; but you are able, for the Spirit of the Holy God is in you.”
