‘术士的首领伯提沙撒啊，我知道你有圣洁神明的灵，任何奥秘都难不倒你。请你为我解释我梦中所见的异象。

‘术士的领袖伯提沙撒啊！因为我知道你里面有圣神的灵，没有什么隐秘的事能难倒你；因此，你要把我梦中所见的异象和梦的意思告诉我。

“术士的领袖伯提沙撒啊，我知道你里面有圣洁之神的灵，任何奥秘都难不倒你！你就讲说我所看到的梦中异象和梦的释义吧！

‘術士的領袖伯提沙撒啊！因為我知道你裡面有聖神的靈，沒有甚麼隱祕的事能難倒你；因此，你要把我夢中所見的異象和夢的意思告訴我。

『學術士的領袖伯提沙撒啊，因為我知道你裏頭有聖神明之靈，甚麼機密的事都不能使你為難；看哪，這時我夢中所見的異象；你要把它的解析說出來。

「術士的領袖伯提沙撒啊，我知道你裡面有聖潔之神的靈，任何奧祕都難不倒你！你就講說我所看到的夢中異象和夢的釋義吧！

巫師長伯提沙撒歟、我知聖神之靈寓於爾中、秘奧無足難爾、其告我所得之夢象、為我解之、

博士長伯底沙撒、我知爾感於至聖上帝之神、凡秘奧之事、爾能明晰、無事三思、我所得之夢、其兆維何、願明以告我、

I said,“ Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you, and no mystery is too difficult for you. Here is my dream; interpret it for me.

I said,“ Belteshazzar, you are chief of the magicians. I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you. No mystery is too hard for you to figure out. Here is my dream. Tell me what it means.

“ O Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you and that no mystery is too difficult for you, tell me the visions of my dream that I saw and their interpretation.

“ I said to him,‘ Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you and that no mystery is too great for you to solve. Now tell me what my dream means.

‘ Belteshazzar, chief of the soothsayer priests, since I know that a spirit of the holy gods is in you and no secret baffles you, tell me the visions of my dream which I have seen, along with its interpretation.

“ Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, because I know that the Spirit of the Holy God is in you, and no secret troubles you, explain to me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and its interpretation.

O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in thee, and no secret troubleth thee, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and the interpretation thereof.

“ Belteshazzar, head of the diviners, because I know that you have a spirit of the holy gods and that no mystery puzzles you, explain to me the visions of my dream that I saw, and its interpretation.

O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods[ is] in thee, and no secret troubleth thee, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and the interpretation thereof.

saying,“ Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, in whom I know there to be a spirit of the holy gods and whom no mystery baffles, consider my dream that I saw and set forth its interpretation!

“ Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you, and no secret troubles you, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and its interpretation.

Then the king promoted Daniel and gave him many generous gifts. He made him ruler over the entire province of Babylon and chief governor over all the wise men of Babylon.

There is a man in your kingdom who has a spirit of the holy gods in him. In the days of your predecessor he was found to have insight, intelligence, and wisdom like the wisdom of the gods. Your predecessor, King Nebuchadnezzar, appointed him chief of the magicians, mediums, Chaldeans, and diviners. Your own predecessor, the king,

Finally Daniel, named Belteshazzar after the name of my god— and a spirit of the holy gods is in him— came before me. I told him the dream:

Yes, you are wiser than Daniel; no secret is hidden from you!

I had a dream, and it frightened me; while in my bed, the images and visions in my mind alarmed me.

In every matter of wisdom and understanding that the king consulted them about, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and mediums in his entire kingdom.

and he said to them,“ Can we find anyone like this, a man who has God’s spirit in him?”

Your mind will meditate on the past terror:“ Where is the accountant? Where is the tribute collector? Where is the one who spied out our defenses?”

When Gideon arrived, there was a man telling his friend about a dream. He said,“ Listen, I had a dream: a loaf of barley bread came tumbling into the Midianite camp, struck a tent, and it fell. The loaf turned the tent upside down so that it collapsed.”His friend answered,“ This is nothing less than the sword of Gideon son of Joash, the Israelite. God has handed the entire Midianite camp over to him.”When Gideon heard the account of the dream and its interpretation, he bowed in worship. He returned to Israel’s camp and said,“ Get up, for the LORD has handed the Midianite camp over to you.”

So the chief cupbearer told his dream to Joseph:“ In my dream there was a vine in front of me.On the vine were three branches. As soon as it budded, its blossoms came out and its clusters ripened into grapes.Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand, and I took the grapes, squeezed them into Pharaoh’s cup, and placed the cup in Pharaoh’s hand.”“ This is its interpretation,” Joseph said to him.“ The three branches are three days.In just three days Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore you to your position. You will put Pharaoh’s cup in his hand the way you used to when you were his cupbearer.But when all goes well for you, remember that I was with you. Please show kindness to me by mentioning me to Pharaoh, and get me out of this prison.For I was kidnapped from the land of the Hebrews, and even here I have done nothing that they should put me in the dungeon.”When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was positive, he said to Joseph,“ I also had a dream. Three baskets of white bread were on my head.In the top basket were all sorts of baked goods for Pharaoh, but the birds were eating them out of the basket on my head.”“ This is its interpretation,” Joseph replied.“ The three baskets are three days.In just three days Pharaoh will lift up your head— from off you— and hang you on a tree. Then the birds will eat the flesh from your body.”

Woe to us! Who will rescue us from these magnificent gods? These are the gods that slaughtered the Egyptians with all kinds of plagues in the wilderness.

he said to them,“ I have had a dream and am anxious to understand it.”The Chaldeans spoke to the king( Aramaic begins here):“ May the king live forever. Tell your servants the dream, and we will give the interpretation.”The king replied to the Chaldeans,“ My word is final: If you don’t tell me the dream and its interpretation, you will be torn limb from limb, and your houses will be made a garbage dump.

Pharaoh said to Joseph,“ I have had a dream, and no one can interpret it. But I have heard it said about you that you can hear a dream and interpret it.”“ I am not able to,” Joseph answered Pharaoh.“ It is God who will give Pharaoh a favorable answer.”So Pharaoh said to Joseph,“ In my dream I was standing on the bank of the Nile,when seven well-fed, healthy-looking cows came up from the Nile and grazed among the reeds.After them, seven other cows— weak, very sickly, and thin— came up. I’ve never seen such sickly ones as these in all the land of Egypt.Then the thin, sickly cows ate the first seven well-fed cows.When they had devoured them, you could not tell that they had devoured them; their appearance was as bad as it had been before. Then I woke up.In my dream I also saw seven heads of grain, full and good, coming up on one stalk.After them, seven heads of grain— withered, thin, and scorched by the east wind— sprouted up.The thin heads of grain swallowed the seven good ones. I told this to the magicians, but no one can tell me what it means.”Then Joseph said to Pharaoh,“ Pharaoh’s dreams mean the same thing. God has revealed to Pharaoh what he is about to do.The seven good cows are seven years, and the seven good heads are seven years. The dreams mean the same thing.The seven thin, sickly cows that came up after them are seven years, and the seven worthless heads of grain scorched by the east wind are seven years of famine.“ It is just as I told Pharaoh: God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do.Seven years of great abundance are coming throughout the land of Egypt.After them, seven years of famine will take place, and all the abundance in the land of Egypt will be forgotten. The famine will devastate the land.The abundance in the land will not be remembered because of the famine that follows it, for the famine will be very severe.Since the dream was given twice to Pharaoh, it means that the matter has been determined by God, and he will carry it out soon.“ So now, let Pharaoh look for a discerning and wise man and set him over the land of Egypt.Let Pharaoh do this: Let him appoint overseers over the land and take a fifth of the harvest of the land of Egypt during the seven years of abundance.Let them gather all the excess food during these good years that are coming. Under Pharaoh’s authority, store the grain in the cities, so they may preserve it as food.The food will be a reserve for the land during the seven years of famine that will take place in the land of Egypt. Then the country will not be wiped out by the famine.”

and you will be established on a foundation of righteousness. You will be far from oppression, you will certainly not be afraid; you will be far from terror, it will certainly not come near you.

The LORD said,“ If they have begun to do this as one people all having the same language, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.Come, let’s go down there and confuse their language so that they will not understand one another’s speech.”So from there the LORD scattered them throughout the earth, and they stopped building the city.

This is the dream that I, King Nebuchadnezzar, had. Now, Belteshazzar, tell me the interpretation, because none of the wise men of my kingdom can make the interpretation known to me. But you can, because you have a spirit of the holy gods.”
