Finally, Daniel came into my presence and I told him the dream.( He is called Belteshazzar, after the name of my god, and the spirit of the holy gods is in him.)

At last Daniel came in before me— he who was named Belteshazzar after the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods— and I told him the dream, saying,

Finally Daniel, named Belteshazzar after the name of my god— and a spirit of the holy gods is in him— came before me. I told him the dream:

Finally Daniel, named Belteshazzar after the name of my god— and the spirit of the holy gods is in him— came before me. I told him the dream:

Later Daniel entered( whose name is Belteshazzar after the name of my god, and in whom there is a spirit of the holy gods). I recounted the dream for him as well,

But at the last Daniel came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods. I told the dream before him, saying,

太監長給他們另外起名，稱但以理為伯提沙撒，稱哈拿尼雅為沙得拉，稱米沙利為米煞，稱亞撒利雅為亞伯尼歌。

「這是我－尼布甲尼撒王所做的夢。伯提沙撒啊，你要說明這夢的解釋；我國中所有的智慧人都不能把夢的解釋告訴我，惟獨你能，因你裏頭有神聖神明的靈。」

我聽說你裏頭有神明的靈，心中有光，又有聰明和高超的智慧。

『術士的領袖伯提沙撒啊，我知道你裏頭有神聖神明的靈，甚麼奧祕都不能為難你。現在你要把我夢中所見的異象和夢的解釋告訴我。』

在你國中有一人，他裏頭有神聖神明的靈，你父在世的日子，這人心中光明，又有聰明智慧，好像神明的智慧。你父尼布甲尼撒王，就是王的父，曾立他為術士、巫師、迦勒底人和觀兆者的領袖，都因為他有美好的靈性，又有知識聰明，能解夢，釋謎語，解疑惑。這人名叫但以理，尼布甲尼撒王又稱他為伯提沙撒，現在可以召他來，他必解明這意思。」

王所問的事很難，除了不與血肉之軀同住的神，沒有人能在王面前解釋。」

那時，他的百姓想起古時摩西的日子：「那將百姓和牧養羣羊的人從海裏領上來的在哪裏呢？那將聖靈降在他們中間，

你們要在萬國中傳揚，宣告，豎立大旗；要宣告，不可隱瞞，說：「巴比倫被攻取，彼勒蒙羞，米羅達驚惶。巴比倫的神像都蒙羞，它的偶像都驚惶。」

彼勒叩拜，尼波屈身；巴比倫的偶像馱在走獸和牲畜背上。你們所抬的成了重馱，使牲畜疲乏。

我要在那裏降臨，與你說話，把降給你的靈分給他們。他們就和你分擔帶領百姓的擔子，免得你獨自承擔。你要對百姓說：『你們要為了明天使自己分別為聖，你們將有肉吃。因你們哭着說：誰給我們肉吃呢？我們在埃及多麼好！這聲音傳到了耶和華的耳中，所以他必給你們肉吃。你們不只吃一天、兩天、五天、十天、二十天，而是整整一個月，直到肉從你們的鼻孔噴出來，使你們厭惡。因為你們厭棄那住在你們中間的耶和華，在他面前哭着說：我們為何出埃及呢？』」摩西說：「跟我在一起的百姓，步行的男人就有六十萬，你還說：『我要把肉賜給他們，使他們可以整整吃一個月。』難道宰了羊羣牛羣，就夠給他們嗎？或者把海中所有的魚都捕來，就夠給他們嗎？」耶和華對摩西說：「耶和華的膀臂豈是縮短了嗎？現在你要看我的話向你應驗不應驗。」摩西出去，把耶和華的話告訴百姓，並從百姓的長老中召集七十個人來，叫他們站在會幕的四圍。耶和華在雲中降臨，對摩西說話，把降給他的靈分給那七十個長老。靈停在他們身上的時候，他們就說預言，以後卻沒有再說了。但有兩個人仍在營裏，一個名叫伊利達，一個名叫米達。他們本是在那些登記的人中，卻沒有到會幕那裏去。靈停在他們身上，他們就在營裏說預言。有一個年輕人跑來告訴摩西說：「伊利達和米達在營裏說預言。」嫩的兒子約書亞，年輕時就作摩西的助手，說：「請我主摩西禁止他們。」摩西對他說：「你為我的緣故嫉妒嗎？惟願耶和華的百姓都是先知，願耶和華把他的靈降在他們身上！」於是，摩西回到營裏去，以色列的長老也回去了。
