All the peoples of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as he pleases with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth. No one can hold back his hand or say to him:“ What have you done?”

我們的上帝高居在天，按自己的旨意行事。

看啊，列國就像水桶中的一滴水，又如天平上的塵埃。祂舉起眾海島，好像捧起微塵。黎巴嫩的樹木不夠作獻祭的燃料，林中的走獸也不夠作燔祭。萬國在祂面前都算不得什麼，在祂看來不過是虛無。

「我知道你無所不能，你的旨意無不成就。

耶和華在天上、地下、海洋、深淵按自己的旨意行事。

『我從太初就是上帝。無人能逃脫我的手。誰能阻撓我行事呢？』」

我們也在基督裡被揀選成為祂的子民。這都是按自己旨意行萬事的上帝預先定下的計劃，

然而他們所做的只不過是你憑自己的能力和旨意所預定的。

啊，上帝的智慧和知識多麼博大精深！祂的判斷多麼難測！祂的蹤跡多麼難尋！誰曾知道主的心意？誰曾做過祂的謀士？誰曾給過祂，等祂償還呢？因為萬物都源於祂，倚靠祂，歸於祂。願榮耀歸給祂，直到永遠。阿們！

這樣，你肯定會對我說：「為什麼上帝還指責人呢？誰能抗拒祂的旨意呢？」你這個人啊！你是誰啊？竟敢頂撞上帝！受造之物怎能對造物主說：「你為什麼把我造成這樣？」

那時，耶穌說：「父啊，天地的主，我頌讚你，因為你把這些事向聰明、有學問的人隱藏起來，卻啟示給像孩童一般的人。父啊，是的，這正是你的美意。

但如果是出於上帝，你們不但無法阻止他們，恐怕反而是在抵擋上帝！」

「誰曾知道主的心意，能夠指教祂呢？」但我們明白基督的心意。

「跟造物主爭辯的人有禍了！他不過是世上瓦器中的一件。陶泥怎能對陶匠說，『你在做什麽』？受造之物怎能說，『造我的沒手藝』？對父親說『你生的是什麼』或對母親說『你產的是什麼』的人有禍了！」耶和華——以色列的聖者和創造主說：「你們就我子民將來的事質問我嗎？你們發號施令要告訴我如何做嗎？

上帝若決定收回自己的靈和氣，所有生靈將一同滅亡，世人也將歸回塵土。

在夜間，我思慕你，我切切地尋求你。你在世上施行審判的時候，世人就知道何為公義。

願普世都敬畏耶和華！願世人都尊崇祂！因為祂一發話，就創造了天地；祂一命令，就立定了萬物。祂挫敗列國的謀算，攔阻列邦的計劃。祂的計劃永不落空，祂的旨意萬代長存。

祂若奪取，誰能阻擋？誰敢問祂，『你做什麽？』上帝不會忍怒不發，海怪的幫手必屈膝在祂腳前。

萬軍之耶和華起誓說：「我的計劃必實現，我的旨意必成就。我必在我的土地上擊垮亞述人，在我的山上踐踏他們，除去他們加在我子民身上的軛和重擔。這是我對全世界所定的計劃，是向列國伸出的懲罰之手。」萬軍之耶和華定了計劃，誰能阻撓呢？祂的手已經伸出，誰能叫祂收回呢？

我從太初就預言末後的事，從亙古就宣佈將來的事。我的旨意必成就，我的計劃必實現。我從東方召來鷙鳥，從遙遠的地方召人來成就我的計劃。我言出必行，必成就自己的計劃。

我們想惹主嫉妒嗎？難道我們比祂更有能力嗎？

撒母耳就一五一十地告訴了他。以利說：「祂是耶和華，祂看怎樣好，就怎樣行吧。」

祂獨行其事，誰能阻擋祂？祂按自己的意願行事。

「強辯者豈可與全能者爭論？與上帝辯駁的人請作出答覆。」

祂充滿智慧，能力無比，誰能抗拒祂還可平安無恙？

任何智慧、悟性和謀略，都不能對抗耶和華。

但祂若保持緘默，誰能定祂有罪？祂若掩起臉來，誰能看得見祂？個人和國家都靠祂垂顧，

既然上帝給他們恩賜，就如我們信主耶穌基督時給我們一樣，我是誰，怎能攔阻上帝？」

上帝的寶座設立在大地的圓圈之上，地上的人類好像蚱蜢。祂鋪展諸天，就像鋪展幔子、鋪展人居住的帳篷。祂使掌權者歸於無有，使世上的審判官化為虛無。他們像草一樣剛被栽上，剛被種上，剛在土裡扎根，上帝一口氣吹來，便都枯乾了，暴風將他們像禾稭一樣吹去。

你有上帝那樣的臂膀嗎？你能像祂那樣發出雷鳴嗎？請展示你的榮耀和光輝，披上你的尊榮和威嚴；發洩你滿腔的怒火，鑒察驕傲者，貶抑他；鑒察驕傲者，制伏他，將惡人原地踐踏；

從祂的居所察看世上萬民。

祂不偏袒王侯，也不輕貧重富，因為他們都是祂親手造的。他們夜間轉瞬死去，百姓震顫，繼而消逝，權貴也被剷除，非藉人手。上帝鑒察世人的道路，觀看他們的腳步。沒有黑暗和陰影可供作惡者藏身。祂不必再三察驗，把人召到面前審判。祂擊垮權貴無需審查，另立他人取而代之。

萬民啊，你們要聽！世人啊，

「我來答覆你，你的話沒有道理，因為上帝比世人大。你為何向祂抱怨，說祂不理會世人的話？

他說：「主啊，你是誰？」那聲音說：「我就是你所迫害的耶穌。

使一切天上的、地上的和地底下的，無不屈膝跪拜在耶穌的名下，無不口稱耶穌基督是主，將榮耀歸於父上帝。
