因此，王啊，愿我的劝告蒙你悦纳：请你藉着施行公义断绝你的罪恶，藉着恩待受苦人断绝你的罪孽，或许你的安稳可以延长。”

王啊，求你悅納我的諫言，以施行公義斷絕罪過，以憐憫窮人除掉罪孽，或者你的平安可以延長。」

因此，王啊，願我的勸告蒙你悅納：請你藉著施行公義斷絕你的罪惡，藉著恩待受苦人斷絕你的罪孽，或許你的安穩可以延長。」

王歟、請納我諫、去過而行義、絕惡而恤困、庶可延長綏安、

我今勸王棄惡歸善、矜憫貧乏、則享綏安、庶幾恆久、

故請王容我諫勸、王當行義以贖罪、矜恤貧乏以贖愆、庶幾恆久綏安、

Therefore, Your Majesty, be pleased to accept my advice: Renounce your sins by doing what is right, and your wickedness by being kind to the oppressed. It may be that then your prosperity will continue.”

So, Your Majesty, I hope you will accept my advice. Stop being sinful. Do what is right. Give up your evil practices. Show kindness to those who are being treated badly. Then perhaps things will continue to go well with you.”

Therefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable to you: break off your sins by practicing righteousness, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the oppressed, that there may perhaps be a lengthening of your prosperity.”

“‘ King Nebuchadnezzar, please accept my advice. Stop sinning and do what is right. Break from your wicked past and be merciful to the poor. Perhaps then you will continue to prosper.’

Therefore, may my advice seem good to you my king. Separate yourself from your sins by doing what is right, and from your injustices by showing mercy to the needy. Perhaps there will be an extension of your prosperity.”

Therefore, O king, may my advice be pleasing to you: wipe away your sin by doing righteousness, and your wrongdoings by showing mercy to the poor, in case there may be a prolonging of your prosperity.’

Seek Yahweh while he may be found. Call on him while he is near.Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to Yahweh, and he will have mercy on him, to our God, for he will freely pardon.

Who knows whether God will not turn and relent, and turn away from his fierce anger, so that we might not perish?”

Repent therefore of this, your wickedness, and ask God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you.

But give for gifts to the needy those things which are within, and behold, all things will be clean to you.

Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners. Purify your hearts, you double- minded.Lament, mourn, and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to gloom.Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will exalt you.

“ Now therefore let Pharaoh look for a discreet and wise man, and set him over the land of Egypt.Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint overseers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt’s produce in the seven plenteous years.Let them gather all the food of these good years that come, and store grain under the hand of Pharaoh for food in the cities, and let them keep it.The food will be to supply the land against the seven years of famine, which will be in the land of Egypt; so that the land will not perish through the famine.”The thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.

“ But if the wicked turns from all his sins that he has committed, and keeps all my statutes, and does that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live. He shall not die.None of his transgressions that he has committed will be remembered against him. In his righteousness that he has done, he shall live.

He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy.

By mercy and truth iniquity is atoned for. By the fear of Yahweh men depart from evil.

“ See how Ahab humbles himself before me? Because he humbles himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days; but I will bring the evil on his house in his son’s day.”

but declared first to them of Damascus, at Jerusalem, and throughout all the country of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance.

Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, producing with his hands something that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need.

For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.

and has not wronged any, but has restored to the debtor his pledge, has taken nothing by robbery, has given his bread to the hungry, and has covered the naked with a garment;

Blessed is he who considers the poor. Yahweh will deliver him in the day of evil.Yahweh will preserve him, and keep him alive. He shall be blessed on the earth, and he will not surrender him to the will of his enemies.Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness.

Is this the fast that I have chosen? A day for a man to humble his soul? Is it to bow down his head like a reed, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under himself? Will you call this a fast, and an acceptable day to Yahweh?“ Isn’t this the fast that I have chosen: to release the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke?Isn’t it to distribute your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor who are cast out to your house? When you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you not hide yourself from your own flesh?

Again, when the wicked man turns away from his wickedness that he has committed, and does that which is lawful and right, he will save his soul alive.Because he considers, and turns away from all his transgressions that he has committed, he shall surely live. He shall not die.Yet the house of Israel says,‘ The way of the Lord is not fair.’ House of Israel, aren’t my ways fair? Aren’t your ways unfair?“ Therefore I will judge you, house of Israel, everyone according to his ways,” says the Lord Yahweh.“ Return, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity will not be your ruin.Cast away from you all your transgressions, in which you have transgressed; and make yourself a new heart and a new spirit: for why will you die, house of Israel?For I have no pleasure in the death of him who dies,” says the Lord Yahweh.“ Therefore turn yourselves, and live!

Who knows? He may turn and relent, and leave a blessing behind him, even a meal offering and a drink offering to Yahweh, your God.

Therefore produce fruit worthy of repentance!

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,

before the appointed time when the day passes as the chaff, before the fierce anger of Yahweh comes on you, before the day of Yahweh’s anger comes on you.Seek Yahweh, all you humble of the land, who have kept his ordinances. Seek righteousness. Seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden in the day of Yahweh’s anger.

Knowing therefore the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are revealed to God, and I hope that we are revealed also in your consciences.

and if you pour out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light will rise in darkness, and your obscurity will be as the noonday;and Yahweh will guide you continually, satisfy your soul in dry places, and make your bones strong. You will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters don’t fail.Those who will be of you will build the old waste places. You will raise up the foundations of many generations. You will be called Repairer of the Breach, Restorer of Paths with Dwellings.

a devout man, and one who feared God with all his house, who gave gifts for the needy generously to the people, and always prayed to God.At about the ninth hour of the day, he clearly saw in a vision an angel of God coming to him, and saying to him,“ Cornelius!”He, fastening his eyes on him, and being frightened, said,“ What is it, Lord?” He said to him,“ Your prayers and your gifts to the needy have gone up for a memorial before God.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision amounts to anything, nor uncircumcision, but faith working through love.

“ For has any said to God,‘ I am guilty, but I will not offend any more.Teach me that which I don’t see. If I have done iniquity, I will do it no more’?

And above all things be earnest in your love among yourselves, for love covers a multitude of sins.

As he reasoned about righteousness, self- control, and the judgment to come, Felix was terrified, and answered,“ Go your way for this time, and when it is convenient for me, I will summon you.”

I will also speak of your statutes before kings, and will not be disappointed.
