王啊，這直長起來，而長得很堅強的就是你。你的強大直增強着，強到頂天，你的權柄管到地極。

王啊，這樹就是你！你繼續強大，變得堅壯，你的權勢繼續強大，高達於天，你的權柄直到地極。

王歟、生長堅剛者爾也、爾之高大、凌乎霄漢、爾之權勢、及於地極、

斯樹即王、爾既長大、堅剛無比、高大及乎九宵、權能延乎四極、

现在我将这些地都交给我仆人巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒的手，我也将田野的走兽给他使用。列国都必服侍他和他的儿孙，直到他本国遭报的日期来到。那时，多国和大君王要使他作他们的奴仆。“无论哪一邦哪一国，不肯服侍这巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒，也不把颈项放在巴比伦王的轭下，我必用刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫刑罚那邦，直到我藉巴比伦王的手将他们毁灭。这是耶和华说的。

因她的罪恶滔天；她的不义，神已经想起来了。

王啊，至高的神曾将国位、大权、荣耀、威严赐与你父尼布甲尼撒；因神所赐他的大权，各方、各国、各族的人都在他面前战兢恐惧。他可以随意生杀，随意升降。但他心高气傲，灵也刚愎，甚至行事狂傲，就被革去王位，夺去荣耀。他被赶出离开世人，他的心变如兽心，与野驴同居，吃草如牛，身被天露滴湿，等他知道至高的神在人的国中掌权，凭自己的意旨立人治国。伯沙撒啊，你是他的儿子，你虽知道这一切，你心仍不自卑，竟向天上的主自高，使人将他殿中的器皿拿到你面前，你和大臣、皇后、妃嫔用这器皿饮酒。你又赞美那不能看、不能听、无知无识、金、银、铜、铁、木、石所造的神，却没有将荣耀归与那手中有你气息，管理你一切行动的神。

耶和华啊，你的慈爱上及诸天；你的信实达到穹苍。

梦见一个梯子立在地上，梯子的头顶着天，有神的使者在梯子上，上去下来。

他们说：“来吧！我们要建造一座城和一座塔，塔顶通天，为要传扬我们的名，免得我们分散在全地上。”
