曾经有很多次，人用脚镣和锁链捆绑他，锁链却被他挣断，脚镣也被他弄碎，始终没有人能制伏他。他昼夜在坟墓里和山野间喊叫，又用石头砍自己。

我听见那身穿细麻衣、站在河水以上的人，向天举起左右手，指着活到永远的主起誓，说：“要经过一载、二载、半载（“一载、二载、半载”或译：“一个时期、多个时期、半个时期”）；在他们完全粉碎圣民的势力的时候，这一切事就都要完成。”

他必说话，敌挡至高者；他必折磨至高者的圣民，又想改变节期和律法；圣民必交在他的手中，一载、二载、半载（“一载、二载、半载”或译：“一个时期、多个时期、半个时期”）。

北方王必再招聚大军，比先前的更多；时机成熟的时候（“时机成熟的时候”直译是“过了一些时候，一些年”），他就率领装备好了的大军而来。

你要使这子民的心思迟钝（“迟钝”直译是“蒙脂油”），耳朵不灵，眼睛昏暗，免得他们眼睛看见，耳朵听见，心里明白，回转过来，得到医治。”

耶稣一上岸，就有城里一个被鬼附着的人，迎面而来。这人已经很久不穿衣服，不住在家里，只住在坟墓里。他一见耶稣，就俯伏喊叫，大声说：“至高神的儿子耶稣，我跟你有什么关系呢？求你不要使我受苦。”因为耶稣已经吩咐这污灵从那人身上出来。原来这污灵屡次抓住那人；那人被铁链和脚链捆锁，而且有人看管，他竟挣断锁链，被鬼赶入旷野。

于是有大鹰的两个翅膀赐给了那妇人，使她可以飞到旷野，到自己的地方，在那里得供养一年两年半年，离开那蛇的面。

这话在王的口中还没有说完，就有声音从天上传下来，说：“尼布甲尼撒王啊！有话对你说：你的王权被褫夺了。你必被赶逐，离开人群，和野地的走兽同住；你必像牛一样吃草，要经过七年的时期；等到你承认至高者在世人的国中掌权，他喜欢把国赐给谁，就赐给谁。”这话立刻就应验在尼布甲尼撒身上；他被赶逐，离开人群，像牛一样吃草，身体被天露滴湿，直到他的头发长得像鹰毛，指甲像鸟爪。

天地都要毁灭，你却长存；天地都要像衣服一样渐渐残旧，
