These are the visions I saw while lying in bed: I looked, and there before me stood a tree in the middle of the land. Its height was enormous.

The visions of my head as I lay in bed were these: I saw, and behold, a tree in the midst of the earth, and its height was great.

試觀亞述王、若利巴嫩之柏香木、其枝葱蒨、其幹扶疏、其杪高不可及、四面環溪、灌溉有資、故柯幹甚巨、高大無比、林叢諸木、無不得水之利、既蒙灌溉、超於群木、枝繁葉茂、長柯森發、飛鳥結巢於其枝、走獸生產於其蔭、大國之民、居於下、亦受其庇。根在水濱、故枝葉葱蒨、長柯森發、上帝囿之柏香木、不能出其上、松樹不及其長條、楓樹不及其弱幹、上帝囿中、眾木雖美、不得與之頡頏、枝葉向榮、葱蒨可悅、我使之然、上帝囿中諸木、亦嫉其高、耶和華曰、彼譬喬木、其葉蓁蓁、心志驕泰、故我委於異邦之強暴、俾治其罪、我亦加以驅逐、異邦之強暴、斫以斧斤、散枝於山谷、折幹於溪濱、天下居民、失庇蔭而他往、飛鳥棲於幹上、走獸伏於枝中、使天下林木、植於水旁、勿誇其株高幹偉、枝葉蓁蓁、喬木森然、終必枯萎、偃於下土、與人之歸墓無異、主耶和華曰、我使柏香木枯萎、是日也、深淵源泉、為之立涸、以示悲哀、利巴嫩之木枯槁、以發憂恨。我斫柏香木使下幽冥之所、與歸墓者無異、列邦人民、聞其下墜之聲、靡不震動、埃田林木、與利巴嫩之佳樹、素得灌溉、後至枯槁、見其隕落、則怨心悉平、昔此林叢、受其庇蔭、乃遭摧折、彼異邦人得王庇護、忽被斬伐、下於幽冥之所、亦若是、埃及王譬諸柏香木、森然高大、欣然向榮、堪與埃田木頡頏、必遭斬伐、下幽冥之所、與眾木無異、王必亡於刃、與不潔者同科、王即法老、王及眾庶、受災如此、我耶和華已言之矣。

爾栽植斯人、遂發根株、長而結果、口則附爾、心則遠爾。

我見惡者強暴、蔓衍葱蘢、若茂樹兮、曾幾何時、其人已非、不得其所兮。

爾見林木生長堅剛、高可干霄、天下人民、咸得仰而見之、樹葉葱蘢、果實殷繁、百物食之賴以果腹、野獸蹲伏蔭下、飛鳥棲止於枝巔、斯樹即王、爾既長大、堅剛無比、高大及乎九宵、權能延乎四極、王見巡察者、聖使者、自天而降云、斫樹務盡、惟留根株、斯樹譬諸斯人、縛之以銅鐵、委之於草萊、為宵露所沾濡、與野獸同寢處、迨七年既屆、我試以其兆告王、至上之主、其命已定、人將驅逐我主我王、不復與人偕處、乃與獸同居、俾爾嚙蒭、無異於牛、為露所侵、待及七年、使知至上者、操寰區之柄、以國畀人、悉隨其意、聖使者既命根株、則王躬必無害、迨王覺悟、知權自天操、而國可復、
