These are the visions I saw while lying in bed: I looked, and there before me stood a tree in the middle of the land. Its height was enormous.

Here are the visions I saw while I was lying in bed. I looked up and saw a tree standing in the middle of the land. It was very tall.

The visions of my head as I lay in bed were these: I saw, and behold, a tree in the midst of the earth, and its height was great.

“‘ While I was lying in my bed, this is what I dreamed. I saw a large tree in the middle of the earth.

看哪，亚述是黎巴嫩的香柏树，枝条荣美，荫密如林，极其高大，树顶高耸入云。众水使它生长，深水使它长高；所栽之地有江河环绕，汊出的水道流至田野的树木。所以它高大超过田野的树木；生长时因水源丰沛，枝子繁多，枝条增长。空中所有的飞鸟在枝子上搭窝，野地所有的走兽在枝条下生子，所有的大国也在它的荫下居住。它树大枝长，极为荣美，因它的根在众水之旁。神园中的香柏树不能遮蔽它；松树不及它的枝子，枫树不及它的枝条，神园中的树都没有它荣美。我使它枝条繁多，极为荣美；在神的园中，伊甸所有的树都嫉妒它。”所以主耶和华如此说：“因它高大，树顶高耸入云，心高气傲，我要把它交给列国中强人的手里，他们必定按它的罪恶惩治它。我已经驱逐它。外国人，就是列国中凶暴的人，已把它砍断抛弃。它的枝条掉落山间和一切谷中，枝子折断，落在地上一切河道。地上的万民都离开它的遮荫，抛弃了它。空中的飞鸟都栖身在掉落的树干上，野地的走兽也都躺卧在它的枝条中。为了要使水边的树木枝干不再长高，树顶也不再高耸入云；那些得水滋润的，不再屹立于其中。因为它们和下到地府的人一起，都被交与死亡，到了地底下。”主耶和华如此说：“它坠落阴间的那日，我为它遮盖深渊，拦住江河，使众水停流，以表哀悼。我使黎巴嫩为它悲哀，田野的树木都因它枯萎。我把它扔到阴间，与下到地府的人一同坠落。那时，列国听见坠落的响声就震惊；伊甸一切的树木，就是黎巴嫩中得水滋润、最佳最美的树，在地底下都得了安慰。这些树也要与它同下阴间，到被刀所杀的人那里；它们曾作它的膀臂，在列国中曾居住在它的荫下。在这样的荣耀与威势中，伊甸树木有谁能与你相比呢？然而你要与伊甸的树木一同到地底下；在未受割礼的人中，与被刀所杀的人一同躺下。“法老和他的军队正是如此。这是主耶和华说的。”

你栽培了他们，他们也扎了根，长大，而且结果。他们的口与你相近，心却与你远离。

我见过恶人大有势力，高耸如本地青翠的树木。有人从那里经过，看哪，他已不存在，我寻找他，却寻不着了。

你所见的树渐长，而且茁壮，高得顶天，全地都能看见，叶子华美，果子甚多，可作所有动物的食物；野地的走兽住在其下，天空的飞鸟宿在枝上。“王啊，这成长又茁壮的树就是你。你的威势成长及于天，你的权柄达到地极。王既看见一位神圣的守望者从天而降，说：‘将这树砍倒毁坏，树的残干却要留在地里，在田野的青草中用铁圈和铜圈套住。任他让天上的露水滴湿，与野地的走兽一同吃草，直到经过七个时期。’“王啊，梦的解释就是这样：临到我主我王的事是出于至高者的命令。你必被赶出离开世人，与野地的走兽同住，吃草如牛，让天上的露水滴湿，且要经过七个时期，直等到你知道至高者在人的国中掌权，要将国赐给谁就赐给谁。这使树的残干存留的命令，是要等你知道天在掌权，你的国必定归你。
