So the satraps, prefects, governors, advisers, treasurers, judges, magistrates and all the other provincial officials assembled for the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up, and they stood before it.

So the royal rulers, high officials and governors came together. So did the advisers, treasurers, judges and court officers. All the other officials joined them. They came to honor the statue that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. They stood in front of it.

Then the satraps, the prefects, and the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the justices, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces gathered for the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. And they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

So all these officials came and stood before the statue King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

So the satraps, prefects, governors, advisers, treasurers, judges, magistrates, and all the rulers of the provinces assembled for the dedication of the statue the king had set up. Then they stood before the statue Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

Then the satraps, the prefects and the governors, the counselors, the chief treasurers, the judges, the magistrates, and all the administrators of the provinces were assembled for the dedication of the statue that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the statue that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

So the satraps, the administrators, the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the judges, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces gathered together for the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

Then the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

So the satraps, prefects, governors, counselors, treasurers, judges, magistrates, and all the other provincial authorities assembled for the dedication of the statue that King Nebuchadnezzar had erected. They were standing in front of the statue that Nebuchadnezzar had erected.

Then the local governors, the deputies, and the governors, the judges, the treasurers, the counselors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together to the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

神要众王行他的旨意，就把意念放在他们心中，叫他们同心把自己的国献给那兽，直到神的话都实现为止。

大家一认出他是犹太人，就异口同声高呼：“以弗所人的女神，伟大的亚底米啊！”喊了约有两个钟头。后来，书记官安抚群众说：“以弗所人哪！谁不知道你们的城，是看守大亚底米的庙，又是看守宙斯那里降下的神像的呢？

没有明白的，没有寻求神的；

因为他们虽然知道神，却不尊他为神，也不感谢他，反而心思变为虚妄，愚顽的心就迷糊了。他们自以为是聪明的，却成了愚蠢的。他们用必朽坏的人、飞禽、走兽和昆虫的形象，取代了永不朽坏的神的荣耀。因此，神就任凭他们顺着心中的私欲去作污秽的事，以致羞辱自己的身体。他们用虚谎取代了神的真理，敬拜事奉受造之物，却不敬拜事奉造物的主。他是永远可称颂的，阿们。因此，神就任凭他们放纵可耻的情欲：他们的女人把原来的性的功能，变成违反自然的功能；同样地，男人也舍弃了女人原来的性功能，彼此欲火攻心，男人与男人作出可耻的事。他们这样妄为，就在自己身上受到应该受的报应。他们既然故意不认识神，神就任凭他们存着败坏的心，去作那些不正当的事。

它又行大奇事，甚至在人面前叫火从天上降在地上。它得了能力，在头一只兽面前能行奇事，迷惑了住在地上的人，吩咐住在地上的人，要为那受过刀伤而还活着的兽做个像。又有能力赐给它，可以把气息给兽像，使兽像能够说话，并且能够杀害那些不拜兽像的人。那从地里上来的兽，又要所有的人，无论大小贫富，自由的和作奴隶的，都在右手或额上，给自己作个记号。

但对那些蒙召的人，不论是犹太人或希腊人，基督是神的能力，神的智慧。因为神的愚笨总比人智慧，神的软弱总比人刚强。弟兄们，你们想想，你们这些蒙召的，按人（“人”或译：“世上的标准”、“世界的标准”）来看有智慧的不多，有权势的不多，出身尊贵的也不多。

他们同心合意，把自己的权力权柄交给那兽。

神站在大能者的会中，在众神之中施行审判，说：（本节在《马索拉文本》包括细字标题）“你们不按公义审判，偏袒恶人，要到几时呢？（细拉）你们要为贫寒的人和孤儿伸冤，为困苦和穷乏的人伸张正义。要搭救贫寒和穷困的人，救他们脱离恶人的手。”他们没有知识，也不明白，在黑暗中走来走去；大地的一切根基都摇动了。我曾说过：“你们都是神，是至高者的儿子。然而，你们要像世人一样死亡，像世上任何一位领袖一样倒毙。”神啊！求你起来，审判大地，因为万国都是你的产业。
