So the satraps, prefects, governors, advisers, treasurers, judges, magistrates and all the other provincial officials assembled for the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up, and they stood before it.

So the royal rulers, high officials and governors came together. So did the advisers, treasurers, judges and court officers. All the other officials joined them. They came to honor the statue that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. They stood in front of it.

Then the satraps, the prefects, and the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the justices, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces gathered for the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. And they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

So all these officials came and stood before the statue King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

So the satraps, prefects, governors, advisers, treasurers, judges, magistrates, and all the rulers of the provinces assembled for the dedication of the statue the king had set up. Then they stood before the statue Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

Then the satraps, the prefects and the governors, the counselors, the chief treasurers, the judges, the magistrates, and all the administrators of the provinces were assembled for the dedication of the statue that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the statue that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

Then the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

So the satraps, prefects, governors, counselors, treasurers, judges, magistrates, and all the other provincial authorities assembled for the dedication of the statue that King Nebuchadnezzar had erected. They were standing in front of the statue that Nebuchadnezzar had erected.

Then the local governors, the deputies, and the governors, the judges, the treasurers, the counselors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together to the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

因為上帝使眾王定意這樣做，好完成祂的旨意。他們便同心將政權交給那怪獸，直到上帝的話得到實現。

但眾人認出他是個猶太人，便又開始一起高呼：「以弗所人的亞底米女神真偉大！」這樣喊了兩個小時。最後，城裡的書記官出面調停，說：「各位以弗所市民，誰不知道以弗所城守護著亞底米女神廟和從宙斯那裡掉下來的神像呢？

沒有人明白，沒有人尋求上帝。

他們雖然明知有上帝，卻不把祂當作上帝，既不將榮耀歸給祂，也不感謝祂。他們的思想因此變得荒謬無用，無知的心也變得昏暗不明。他們自以為聰明，其實愚不可及，以必朽的人、飛禽、走獸和爬蟲的形像來取代永恆上帝的榮耀。因此，上帝任憑他們隨從內心的情慾行污穢的事，玷污彼此的身體。他們把上帝的真理當作謊言，祭拜、供奉受造之物，卻不敬拜、事奉造物主。主是永遠值得稱頌的。阿們！因此，上帝任憑他們放縱可恥的情慾。女人放棄正常的兩性關係，做出變態反常的事。男人也背棄了和女人正常的兩性關係，慾火焚燒，同性之間彼此貪戀。男人和男人做出羞恥不堪的事，他們必在自己的身體上遭受應得的報應。既然他們故意不認識上帝，上帝就任憑他們心思敗壞，做不當做的事。

又行大奇蹟，當眾叫火從天降到地上。牠在頭一隻怪獸面前獲准行奇蹟，欺騙了普世的人，並吩咐他們為受了刀傷卻仍然活著的頭一隻怪獸塑像。牠又獲准給怪獸的塑像生命氣息，使牠不但能說話，還能使所有不敬拜那像的人遭害。牠又強迫所有的人，不論老少、尊卑、貧富、自由人或奴隸，都在右手或額上接受印記。

但對於蒙召的人，無論是猶太人還是希臘人，基督是上帝的能力、上帝的智慧。因為上帝的「愚昧」也勝過世人的智慧，上帝的「軟弱」也勝過世人的剛強。弟兄姊妹，想想你們蒙召時的情形。按人的標準來衡量，你們當中稱得上有智慧的不多，有能力的不多，出身名門望族的也不多。

他們一致同意把自己所有的能力和權柄交給那怪獸。

上帝站在天庭的會中，向眾神明宣佈祂的判決，說：「你們不秉公行義，偏袒惡人要到何時呢？（細拉）你們要為窮人和孤兒主持公道，為貧寒和受壓迫的人伸張正義。要救助窮苦的人，使他們脫離惡人的欺壓。你們愚昧無知，行在黑暗中，大地的根基搖動。我曾說你們都是神，都是至高者的兒子，但你們要跟世人一樣死去，像人間的王侯一樣滅亡。」上帝啊，求你起來審判世界，因為世上的萬國都屬於你。
