So the satraps, prefects, governors, advisers, treasurers, judges, magistrates and all the other provincial officials assembled for the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up, and they stood before it.

So the royal rulers, high officials and governors came together. So did the advisers, treasurers, judges and court officers. All the other officials joined them. They came to honor the statue that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. They stood in front of it.

Then the satraps, the prefects, and the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the justices, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces gathered for the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. And they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

So all these officials came and stood before the statue King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

So the satraps, prefects, governors, advisers, treasurers, judges, magistrates, and all the rulers of the provinces assembled for the dedication of the statue the king had set up. Then they stood before the statue Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

Then the satraps, the prefects and the governors, the counselors, the chief treasurers, the judges, the magistrates, and all the administrators of the provinces were assembled for the dedication of the statue that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the statue that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

So the satraps, the administrators, the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the judges, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces gathered together for the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

Then the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

So the satraps, prefects, governors, counselors, treasurers, judges, magistrates, and all the other provincial authorities assembled for the dedication of the statue that King Nebuchadnezzar had erected. They were standing in front of the statue that Nebuchadnezzar had erected.

Then the local governors, the deputies, and the governors, the judges, the treasurers, the counselors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together to the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

因为上帝使众王定意这样做，好完成祂的旨意。他们便同心将政权交给那怪兽，直到上帝的话得到实现。

但众人认出他是个犹太人，便又开始一起高呼：“以弗所人的亚底米女神真伟大！”这样喊了两个小时。最后，城里的书记官出面调停，说：“各位以弗所市民，谁不知道以弗所城守护着亚底米女神庙和从宙斯那里掉下来的神像呢？

没有人明白，没有人寻求上帝。

他们虽然明知有上帝，却不把祂当作上帝，既不将荣耀归给祂，也不感谢祂。他们的思想因此变得荒谬无用，无知的心也变得昏暗不明。他们自以为聪明，其实愚不可及，以必朽的人、飞禽、走兽和爬虫的形象来取代永恒上帝的荣耀。因此，上帝任凭他们随从内心的情欲行污秽的事，玷污彼此的身体。他们把上帝的真理当作谎言，祭拜、供奉受造之物，却不敬拜、事奉造物主。主是永远值得称颂的。阿们！因此，上帝任凭他们放纵可耻的情欲。女人放弃正常的两性关系，做出变态反常的事。男人也背弃了和女人正常的两性关系，欲火焚烧，同性之间彼此贪恋，男人和男人做出羞耻不堪的事。他们必在自己的身体上遭受应得的报应。既然他们故意不认识上帝，上帝就任凭他们心思败坏，做不当做的事。

又行大奇迹，当众叫火从天降到地上。它在头一只怪兽面前获准行奇迹，欺骗了普世的人，并吩咐他们为受了刀伤却仍然活着的头一只怪兽塑像。它又获准给怪兽的塑像生命气息，使它不但能说话，还能使所有不敬拜那像的人遭害。它又强迫所有的人，不论老少、尊卑、贫富、自由人或奴隶，都在右手或额上接受印记。

但对于蒙召的人，无论是犹太人还是希腊人，基督是上帝的能力、上帝的智慧。因为上帝的“愚昧”也胜过世人的智慧，上帝的“软弱”也胜过世人的刚强。弟兄姊妹，想想你们蒙召时的情形。按人的标准来衡量，你们当中称得上有智慧的不多，有能力的不多，出身名门望族的也不多。

他们一致同意把自己所有的能力和权柄交给那怪兽。

上帝站在天庭的会中，向众神明宣布祂的判决，说：“你们不秉公行义，偏袒恶人要到何时呢？（细拉）你们要为穷人和孤儿主持公道，为贫寒和受压迫的人伸张正义。要救助穷苦的人，使他们脱离恶人的欺压。你们愚昧无知，行在黑暗中，大地的根基摇动。我曾说你们都是神，都是至高者的儿子，但你们要跟世人一样死去，像人间的王侯一样灭亡。”上帝啊，求你起来审判世界，因为世上的万国都属于你。
