Then Nebuchadnezzar was furious with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and his attitude toward them changed. He ordered the furnace heated seven times hotter than usual

Then Nebuchadnezzar was very angry with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. The look on his face changed. And he ordered that the furnace be heated seven times hotter than usual.

王大怒、命曳三人至、

我必震怒、降罰於爾、督責爾罪、至於七倍、

爾尚梗頑、不克從順、則按罪降災、必至七倍、

我必降罰、督責爾罪、至於七倍、

若仍弗聽從、將治爾罪、重於七倍。

彼敵有言、必追而及、分其貨財、以快我心、出我鋒刃、手殲厥眾。惟爾吹氣、海淹其敵、如鉛之沉、沒於洪水。

惟爾敵人、素使爾曲躬俯伏、俟其踰越而行、若遨遊於通衢、我必使彼飲焉。

眾聞言、忿恚切齒、

勃然變色、中心鬱陶、腰骨閃損、兩股戰栗、

石沙甚重、愚人之怒、殆有甚焉。人之憤怒酷烈、勢若行潦、人懷嫉妒、誰能禦之。

暴怒之徒、人呼為傲慢。

王命曳訟但以理之人、及其妻孥、投於獅穴、未至穴中、獅即嚙之、斷傷其肢體、

敵人銜憾、上帝因之顯榮、惟彼上帝、息敵人之餘怒兮、

不顧該隱、不歆其祭、該隱盛怒變色。耶和華曰、爾怒伊何、變色曷故。

眾聞言、暴怒、謀殺之、

列柴剖犢、置於柴上、告民曰、以水四甕、傾於祭犢及柴。又曰、如是者二、則行之二次。如是者三、則行之三次。水流於壇之四周、以充其溝。

爾之居處、爾之出入、爾之狂妄、欲攻擊我、我知之矣。因爾狂妄驕奢、升聞於上、故必置圈於爾鼻、置勒於爾口、使爾仍由其途而返。

亦見拉班待己不如疇昔。

主、我儕憶彼偽者、生時嘗曰、三日後復生、是以請命、固守其塋三日、恐其徒夜盜之、而以由死復生告民、如是則後謬較甚於先矣、彼拉多曰、予爾守兵、往盡乃心、固守之、遂往固守其塋、封石設兵焉、

王怒、離席往御苑。哈曼知王必罪己、求救於后、

吾友乎、吾語汝、殺爾身、後別無所為者、勿懼、我示爾所當懼者、即殺後、又有權投爾於地獄、我誠告爾、當懼者此也、

便哈達更遣人告亞哈曰、從我者眾、爾撒馬利亞地之塵、我軍各取一握、猶且未足、如以為足、則願上帝降罰於我。以色列王對曰、卸甲之士可以凱歌、披甲之士勿效之。

王一怒必加殺戮、故智者宜求息怒焉。
