王回应那些迦勒底人，说：“我所发出的命令是确定的：如果你们不把这梦和梦的释义显明给我，你们就必被千刀万剐，你们的家必变为一堆废墟；

王回答迦勒底博學的人說：『這事我已決定；你們若不將夢和夢的解析告訴我，就必須被凌遲，你們的房屋必須被拆毁。

王回應那些迦勒底人，說：「我所發出的命令是確定的：如果你們不把這夢和夢的釋義顯明給我，你們就必被千刀萬剮，你們的家必變為一堆廢墟；

王曰、我命已出、如爾不以夢、及其解告我、必解爾體、使爾室為糞場、

王曰、我已有命、如爾不以夢告我、示我以兆、必剖爾體、使爾室為厠、

王曰、我命已定、我命已定或作其夢我已忘矣下同如爾不以夢與夢兆告我、必剖爾身、使爾宅第變為糞場、

The king replied to the astrologers,“ This is what I have firmly decided: If you do not tell me what my dream was and interpret it, I will have you cut into pieces and your houses turned into piles of rubble.

The king replied to them,“ I have made up my mind. You must tell me what I dreamed. And you must tell me what it means. If you don’t, I’ll have you cut to pieces. And I’ll have your houses turned into piles of trash.

The king answered and said to the Chaldeans,“ The word from me is firm: if you do not make known to me the dream and its interpretation, you shall be torn limb from limb, and your houses shall be laid in ruins.

But the king said to the astrologers,“ I am serious about this. If you don’t tell me what my dream was and what it means, you will be torn limb from limb, and your houses will be turned into heaps of rubble!

The king replied to the Chaldeans,“ My word is final: If you don’t tell me the dream and its interpretation, you will be torn limb from limb, and your houses will be made a garbage dump.

The king replied to the Chaldeans,“ The command from me is firm: if you do not make known to me the dream and its interpretation, you will be torn limb from limb and your houses will be turned into a rubbish heap.

The king answered and said to the Chaldeans,“ My decision is firm: if you do not make known the dream to me, and its interpretation, you shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made an ash heap.

The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, The thing is gone from me: if ye make not known unto me the dream and the interpretation thereof, ye shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made a dunghill.

The king replied to the Chaldeans,“ My word is final: If you don’t tell me the dream and its interpretation, you will be torn limb from limb, and your houses will be made a garbage dump.

The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, The thing is gone from me: if ye will not make known unto me the dream, with the interpretation thereof, ye shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made a dunghill.

The king answered the Chaldeans,“ The thing has gone from me. If you don’t make known to me the dream and its interpretation, you will be cut in pieces, and your houses will be made a dunghill.

I hereby decree that any people, nation, or language group that blasphemes the god of Shadrach, Meshach, or Abednego will be dismembered and his home reduced to rubble! For there exists no other god who can deliver in this way.”

“ I hereby give orders that if anyone changes this directive a beam is to be pulled out from his house and he is to be raised up and impaled on it, and his house is to be reduced to a rubbish heap for this indiscretion.

They demolished the sacred pillar of Baal and the temple of Baal; it is used as a latrine to this very day.

At that time Joshua made this solemn declaration:“ The man who attempts to rebuild this city of Jericho will stand condemned before the LORD. He will lose his firstborn son when he lays its foundations and his youngest son when he erects its gates!”

You must gather all of its plunder into the middle of the plaza and burn the city and all its plunder as a whole burnt offering to the LORD your God. It will be an abandoned ruin forever– it must never be rebuilt again.

Carefully consider this, you who reject God! Otherwise I will rip you to shreds and no one will be able to rescue you.

Because of this the king got furiously angry and gave orders to destroy all the wise men of Babylon.

Let them disappear like water that flows away! Let them wither like grass!
