You, O king, the king of kings, to whom the God of heaven has given the kingdom, the power, and the might, and the glory,

but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries, and he has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will be in the latter days. Your dream and the visions of your head as you lay in bed are these:

The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until tribute comes to him; and to him shall be the obedience of the peoples.

that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places,far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church,

Give the king your justice, O God, and your righteousness to the royal son!May he judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice!Let the mountains bear prosperity for the people, and the hills, in righteousness!May he defend the cause of the poor of the people, give deliverance to the children of the needy, and crush the oppressor!May they fear you while the sun endures, and as long as the moon, throughout all generations!May he be like rain that falls on the mown grass, like showers that water the earth!In his days may the righteous flourish, and peace abound, till the moon be no more!May he have dominion from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth!May desert tribes bow down before him, and his enemies lick the dust!May the kings of Tarshish and of the coastlands render him tribute; may the kings of Sheba and Seba bring gifts!May all kings fall down before him, all nations serve him!For he delivers the needy when he calls, the poor and him who has no helper.He has pity on the weak and the needy, and saves the lives of the needy.From oppression and violence he redeems their life, and precious is their blood in his sight.Long may he live; may gold of Sheba be given to him! You have said,“ I have made a covenant with my chosen one; I have sworn to David my servant:‘ I will establish your offspring forever, and build your throne for all generations.’” Selah

The Lord says to my Lord:“ Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.”The Lord sends forth from Zion your mighty scepter. Rule in the midst of your enemies!Your people will offer themselves freely on the day of your power, in holy garments; from the womb of the morning, the dew of your youth will be yours.The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind,“ You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.”

They shall dwell in the land that I gave to my servant Jacob, where your fathers lived. They and their children and their children’s children shall dwell there forever, and David my servant shall be their prince forever.

Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power.For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.

Your hand will find out all your enemies; your right hand will find out those who hate you.You will make them as a blazing oven when you appear. The Lord will swallow them up in his wrath, and fire will consume them.

So the crowd answered him,“ We have heard from the Law that the Christ remains forever. How can you say that the Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?”

By his cunning he shall make deceit prosper under his hand, and in his own mind he shall become great. Without warning he shall destroy many. And he shall even rise up against the Prince of princes, and he shall be broken— but by no human hand.

As you looked, a stone was cut out by no human hand, and it struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces.

From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and with a loud voice he called to all the birds that fly directly overhead,“ Come, gather for the great supper of God,to eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all men, both free and slave, both small and great.”And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth with their armies gathered to make war against him who was sitting on the horse and against his army.And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who in its presence had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.

“ Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah when he said,“ The voice of one crying in the wilderness:‘ Prepare the way of the Lord; make his paths straight.’”

“ As for me, I have set my King on Zion, my holy hill.”I will tell of the decree: The Lord said to me,“ You are my Son; today I have begotten you.Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession.You shall break them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.”Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth.Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

and he will rule them with a rod of iron, as when earthen pots are broken in pieces, even as I myself have received authority from my Father.
