But as for me, this mystery has been revealed to me, not because of any wisdom that I have more than all the living, but in order that the interpretation may be made known to the king, and that you may know the thoughts of your mind.

此秘奧顯示於我、非因我有智慧、逾於眾生、乃以夢兆告王、俾知心之所思、

非我較天下人有智、惟上帝以此秘奧示我、遣我以兆告王、使王追憶前事、

此奧秘顯示於我、非為我較天下人有智慧、乃為以夢兆示王、使王憶及心觀之異象、使王憶及心觀之異象或作俾王得知王心之思念

As for me, this mystery has been revealed to me, not because I have greater wisdom than anyone else alive, but so that Your Majesty may know the interpretation and that you may understand what went through your mind.

Now the mystery has been explained to me. But it isn’t because I have greater wisdom than anyone else alive. It’s because God wants you to know what the mystery means, Your Majesty. He wants you to understand what went through your mind.

And it is not because I am wiser than anyone else that I know the secret of your dream, but because God wants you to understand what was in your heart.

As for me, this mystery has been revealed to me, not because I have more wisdom than anyone living, but in order that the interpretation might be made known to the king, and that you may understand the thoughts of your mind.

Joseph answered Pharaoh,“ It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh a favorable answer.”

And when Peter saw it he addressed the people:“ Men of Israel, why do you wonder at this, or why do you stare at us, as though by our own power or piety we have made him walk?

Then Daniel went to his house and made the matter known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions,and told them to seek mercy from the God of heaven concerning this mystery, so that Daniel and his companions might not be destroyed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.

For behold, he who forms the mountains and creates the wind, and declares to man what is his thought, who makes the morning darkness, and treads on the heights of the earth— the Lord, the God of hosts, is his name!

Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me.For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.Whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?

For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I give Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in exchange for you.Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you, I give men in return for you, peoples in exchange for your life.

As for these four youths, God gave them learning and skill in all literature and wisdom, and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

So let no one boast in men. For all things are yours,whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future— all are yours,and you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my chosen, I call you by your name, I name you, though you do not know me.

Daniel made a request of the king, and he appointed Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego over the affairs of the province of Babylon. But Daniel remained at the king’s court.

For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.

And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.

And if the Lord had not cut short the days, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, whom he chose, he shortened the days.
