至于那奥秘的事显明给我，不是因为我比所有的活人更有智慧，而是要使王明白那梦的释义和王心里的意念。

此秘奧顯示於我、非因我有智慧、逾於眾生、乃以夢兆告王、俾知心之所思、

非我較天下人有智、惟上帝以此秘奧示我、遣我以兆告王、使王追憶前事、

此奧秘顯示於我、非為我較天下人有智慧、乃為以夢兆示王、使王憶及心觀之異象、使王憶及心觀之異象或作俾王得知王心之思念

As for me, this mystery has been revealed to me, not because I have greater wisdom than anyone else alive, but so that Your Majesty may know the interpretation and that you may understand what went through your mind.

Now the mystery has been explained to me. But it isn’t because I have greater wisdom than anyone else alive. It’s because God wants you to know what the mystery means, Your Majesty. He wants you to understand what went through your mind.

But as for me, this mystery has been revealed to me, not because of any wisdom that I have more than all the living, but in order that the interpretation may be made known to the king, and that you may know the thoughts of your mind.

And it is not because I am wiser than anyone else that I know the secret of your dream, but because God wants you to understand what was in your heart.

约瑟就回答法老，说：“不是我，是神要回应法老，关乎法老的平安。”

彼得看见，就对民众说：“各位以色列人哪！你们为什么对这事感到惊奇？为什么注视我们，以为我们是凭着自己的能力或虔诚使这个人走路的呢？

但以理回到自己的家里，把这事告诉了他的同伴哈纳尼雅、米沙利和亚撒利雅，让他们在这奥秘的事上，向天上的神祈求怜悯，免得但以理和他的同伴与巴比伦其余的智慧人一同灭亡。

最后也显现给我——这个像是早产婴儿一样的人。原来我是使徒中最小的，不配被称为使徒，因为我曾经逼迫神的教会。但藉着神的恩典，我成了现在的我，并且神赐给我的恩典没有落空。不但如此，我比任何使徒更加劳苦做工；其实不是我，而是与我同在的神的恩典。因此无论是我，或是他们，我们都如此传，你们也就如此信了。既然宣讲基督已经从死人中复活了，你们中间怎么还有些人说没有死人复活的事呢？

因为我是耶和华你的神，是以色列的圣者，你的拯救者，所以我牺牲埃及作你的赎价，牺牲库实和西拔替代你。因为你在我眼中看为宝贵、视为尊贵，更因为我爱你，所以我牺牲别人替代你，牺牲万族替代你的性命。

至于这四个年轻人，神赐给他们在各种文学和智慧上的学识和明达；但以理甚至能领悟各样的异象和异梦。

所以谁都不要以人夸耀；要知道，一切都属于你们：无论是保罗、是阿波罗、是矶法、是世界、是生、是死、是现在的事、是将来的事，全都属于你们；而你们属于基督，基督属于神。

我们也知道，神使万事相辅相成，是为了爱神之人的益处，就是那些按照他的心意蒙召之人的益处。

为我仆人雅各、我所拣选的以色列的缘故，我提你的名召唤你；你虽然不认识我，我却给你一个尊名。

但以理向王提出请求，王就指派沙德拉克、米沙克、亚伯尼哥管理巴比伦省的事务；但以理却留在王的宫廷中。

的确，这一切都是为了你们的缘故，好让恩典藉着更多的人而增多，使感谢充实满溢，归于神的荣耀。

如果那些日子不被减少，就没有一个人能得救。可是为了那些蒙拣选的人，那些日子将被减少。

如果不是主减少了那些日子，就没有一个人能得救。然而，为了那些蒙拣选的人，就是他所拣选的，他减少了那些日子。
